As Far as the East is from the West
May 05, 2009
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12).
A dear friend often e-mails me, by beginning with the question, “What in the world is the matter with these people?” He cannot understand how our fellow Canadians have been so easily duped into believing the lies of liberalism, which are flowing from our politicians. It pains him to see the shallow depth of national understanding with respect to the demise of America’s heritage in liberty. He cannot imagine how it is possible that a public, which had known all the benefits of the West, has gone on snooze-control while the West is turned into the East with all of America continuing to doze.
It is hard to imagine how a society, which has espoused liberty, would actually choose to ignore the situation in which it finds itself, with fascism on the rise, and potential dictators vying for party leadership roles. The people are not only ignoring the hard cold facts, but are also endorsing the lunacy.
God brought His people to the West out of their captivity to world governments ruled by the religions of the East, from which they escaped. Only one side of the world was ruled by the competing, empire-building governments of man under satanic rule, where the worship of cultic religious gods was forced upon the captives of the ruling despots. The East is full of these cultures, which are made up of masters and slaves, the haves and have-nots, the latter being bought, sold and traded like common chattel at the whims of their masters.
The religious slavery of the East began with the rebellion of man against God in the Garden of Eden, a Garden east of Eden. Man desired to rule over himself so that he might be like the Most High God, but without the perceived interference of God in the affairs of His creation. The created rebelled against its Creator, and continues to do so, until this day.
Man neither fears the truth nor does he love the Master-planner of the universe. He believed the lies of Satan when he would not believe the truth of God. Foolish man actually accepted the notion that the power of the universe could be found within himself. So, God walked away to show him the results of choosing to ride in a rudderless ship, tossed by the storms of the sea without the protective hand of the Lord over him.
The raging sea had to be subdued and crossed supernaturally before man could escape the infliction of the East by arriving at freedom’s shores on the other side. It was there, where the sword of truth became liberty’s weapon – the only sword, which can overcome the sword of the empires bent on warring, one with the other, for position and control.
God chose a people He called Israel, with whom He formed a covenant, to deliver them from eastern potentates, in order to rule over them Himself. This would require obedience and the separation of His people from the rest of the world, to show His glory, if they were to have the blessing of freedom, along with the bounty He wanted to lavish upon them. Only an unbroken covenant with God would sustain life in Him, as opposed to death by Satan. This was part of His plan for the redemption of man to remove the curse of the Garden and to restore His lost creation back to life.
His nation, Israel, was chosen to be the light of redemption to all the other nations of the world. She was to see the sea part miraculously to allow her departure from her captivity within the world empire of her day called Egypt. God chose a leader called Moses to be His messenger to the nation and the possessor of the rod of His power, which was like a lightning rod attracting the light. God’s supernatural power was manifested in the hand of this chosen cup-bearer and servant of the Most High God.
Though delivered from the empire of man, Israel was not delivered from the East. She had the tough job of survival surrounded by eastern cultic neighbors. God commanded her to annihilate the cults from within her midst. Otherwise, they would rise up within the nation to repossess the land He had given to His people through supernaturally won battles against these same cults. Yet, the people whom God had entrusted to share His covenant with Him would not do so in obedience to this commandment. God knew that eastern paganism would infect them with its deadly disease of religion. It acts like leaven filling an entire loaf by the smallest of granules growing unmercifully to destroy it from within. Ultimately, within the nation Israel, the leaven grew into a full-blown religion called Judaism. They were the Judaic priests, the Pharisees, who rejected and condemned Jesus.
Israel failed to obey God and keep covenant with Him. To this day, her people cry out to Him Whom they chose to reject. In fact, their wail was heard in the Russian ghettos, in the German concentration camps and can still be heard today, as they wail against the old temple wall in Jerusalem. It is the same temple they contaminated with Judaic religious idolatry in Jesus’ day. Israel never could resist being a harlot to her God by cavorting with the religious gods and the religious practices of the world. For this reason, she never held high the burning torch of the covenant, but rather chose the smoking ovens all on her own. God gave them the way to escape the ovens, but they would not accept ‘the Way’ to redemption.
At the cross, the nation was transformed into a spiritual nation in the same manner as a larva is transformed into a butterfly. The butterfly was always its ultimate destiny, never to return to its former state of being a larva. Once again, the spiritual nation was to have victory by crossing over to the other side of the sea, to the West where liberty awaited her, apart from the religious empires of the East.
America was the land of the free, but only in Canada was she free of slavery, which had to disappear from her sister nation before the Statue of Liberty could welcome all to her shores. What was it that made America the envy of the rest of the world? She gave the God of the universe ruler-ship over the land and embraced His Word as the basis for justice and citizenship. No one could enter this country without swearing allegiance to God and country on His Word, which was made into the flesh of Jesus.
By embracing Jesus, the Truth, in the place of religion, the transgression of leaven was removed in so far as the East was separated from the West. They were not the Hindus, the Buddhists or the Muslims who had any part in establishing the West with their religious gods; they were not welcomed to bring them here – that is to say, before the ridiculous institution of ‘rights law’ as opposed to constitutional law.
Proverbs warns us about the fools who think themselves wise. The liberal-minded politicians most certainly were the fools who opened the doors of America to the East; a silent liberal institutional church has been a partner to the crime. Now, we are infected with eastern religion, which is setting up camp in God’s country, demanding the law of the land give way to Muslim religious laws and the Bible to the Koran.
The results have been disastrous for America. Children of eastern cults are being allowed to carry daggers to school, while at the same time we bow to the demands that the Word of God, which is truth, be taken away from our own Canadian-born children. This is what is meant by leaven filling the entire loaf.
America, your transgressions, having once been removed, have come back to rest upon you. Wake up, sit up, listen and then stand up! Repossess the land as a people in covenant with God. If you refuse to raise high the burning torch of liberty, especially in this coming year when the Olympic torch will be held high to honor the idolatrous gods of Olympus within God’s own land, then you can consider your goose to be cooked. For the smoking ovens are the alternative to the blessing. You will no longer sing, “God bless America”, but rather, you will say, “Welcome Satan, we hand over the land to you! You have nothing to fear from us for there are no torch carriers left in this land, who will still stand for God.”
The Dead Sea Scrolls have been unearthed in recent years to pronounce the prophetic words of the judgment of God upon this land at this time, written circa 700 B.C by the prophet, Isaiah.
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me; the ox knows its owner and the donkey its master’s crib; but Israel does not know, My people do not consider.” Alas, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a brood of evildoers, children who are corrupters! They have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked to anger the Holy One of Israel, they have turned away backward. Why should you be stricken again? You will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faints. From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; they have not been closed or bound up, or soothed with ointment. Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire; strangers devour your land in your presence; and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. So the daughter of Zion is left as a booth in a vineyard, as a hut in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city. Unless the Lord of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been made like Gomorrah (Isaiah 1:2-9).
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword”; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken (Isaiah 1:18-20).
Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her penitents with righteousness. The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed (Isaiah 1:27-28).
