Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

A National Sneeze
April 8, 2008
A most wonderful story was sent to me this week, which has victory written all over it. It is the story about a body of ninety–two graduating university students showing far more wisdom than their teachers, their elected government officials and their judiciary, all put together.
Let me share with you this delightful tale of intelligent young soldiers marching into battle in the real war facing America today! It is not a war being fought in Iraq or Afghanistan; it is a war being fought right here within our borders on American soil.
They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing, and wearing their traditional caps, they looked almost as grown-up as they felt. Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.
This class would NOT pray during its commencement exercises – not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families. The speeches were nice, but they were routine – that is to say, until the final speech, which received a standing ovation.
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and very silent for just a moment… and then it happened.
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED! The student on stage simply looked at the audience and spoke these great words, “GOD BLESS YOU, each and every one of you!” The audience exploded into applause, as the student walked off the stage.
This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God’s blessing on their future with or without the court’s approval.
Is this a true story? I cannot answer that for sure, but it came with the footnote that it was true and that it happened at the University of Maryland, during graduation ceremonies. If so, I would like to congratulate this body of extraordinary students who decided not to accept the treasonous rulings of the officials who have taken it upon themselves, to rule against our God. He rules, and not they, over this great land of America.
This could become a wave of affirmative action throughout the country, as the ‘GOD-BLESS-YOU-each-and-everyone’ sneeze sweeps the nation.
May every graduating class and every public meeting place, where the Word of God is forbidden by the officials of the ‘stuck-on-stupid syndrome’, develop the ‘GOD-BLESS-YOU sneeze’ until this sneeze shakes a corrupt officialdom into sensible action!
And what are the thought police of the HRC (Human Rights Commission) going to be able to do with the sneeze? Are they going to incarcerate all of those who stand to applaud, and applaud and continue to applaud…?
Ezra Levant is a Canadian soldier, like those of the graduating class, out there dealing daily with the vermin of liberalism. May I quote some words he wrote on February 19, 2008, when he quoted his own words he had previously written to the National Post in December of 2007?
“One single activist — a lawyer named Richard Warman, who used to work at the commission himself — has filed 26 complaints, nearly 50% of all complaints under that commission’s “hate messages” section. He’s turned it into a part-time job, winning tens of thousands of dollars in “awards” from people he’s complained about in the past few years. Warman is a liberal activist, who likes to complain against Web sites he calls racist or homophobic.” Would Mr. Warman dare to go so far as to try to take on all the ‘sneezers and applauders’ for God’s blessing on Canadians and Americans as well?
Perhaps, it is time to deal with those of the ‘stuck-on-stupid-syndrome’ (thank you Dr. Laurie Roth for such a descriptive expression). They actually believe that they can contain the Creator and the one true Ruler over this land with their stupidity and conniving, their phony man-made laws, and their corrupt judgments. We must not forget to include in this group a far less than first-rate teaching system, which has embodied the principles of Secular Humanism to the detriment of the principles that flow from truth.
Congratulations to the graduating class of whichever year, of whichever school, in whatever place! May you have birthed a new wave of ‘national sneezing’, which could be the catalyst for the voice of the people to rise up and be heard! It could be just the ‘national sneeze’ needed to see this nation turn back to its heritage in God and to His truth.
