Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

“Fire, Fire!”
July 20, 2008
Imagine this! You are on the twentieth floor of a thirty-storey apartment building, lying asleep in your bed during the night. Not only does the fire alarm go off in your apartment, but you hear someone in the hall shouting, “Fire, fire!” You are faced with an option; you can either ignore the warning call by remaining where you are, or you can leave your apartment by moving to the nearest escape route in order to make your way down the stairwell to safety.
Now, if the alarm goes off, often enough, when there is only smoke and no real fire, a person feels no threat to life or possessions, eventually becoming desensitized to the alarm. One will come to the point where one pays no attention, whatsoever, to the warning signs, even in the eventuality of a real fire. At this point, one is quite likely to merely roll over in one’s comfortable bed and say to oneself, “There goes the mantra of that cursed fire alarm again.”
It becomes very easy to ignore the warning signs while the fire reaches the point of no return in which the building becomes engulfed by flames and deadly gaseous smoke fills the stairwells. It is then too late to escape the ensuing disaster. All that will likely remain of the one who ignored the signs before things got out of hand is a charred bed containing the ash and dust of what was once a body.
The entire nation of America has been lulled into a programmed state of sleep, impervious to the internal threat, which is coming from within her own building, or nation. It is there, where the people reside within the many different levels of the political, economic and religious systems. While alarm bells are ringing everywhere, the newspapers are desensitizing the people and programming them to believe there is no fire. It is part of the desensitization program of keeping the people dulled-down and feeling perfectly safe while the smoke can be seen rising in dark, billowing, warning clouds, all around them.
We were given the perfect picture of what I am purporting to be the situation here, with the disaster of 9/11. The World Trade towers became engulfed in dark, black clouds of smoke at the moment of impact, when the monstrous planes entered the sides of the buildings.
Very few, who were inside the buildings, could actually equate what was happening to them. Many who were above the floors of impact telephoned a central building service, seeking information on what had just happened, only to be told to remain where they were, by suggesting it would be the safest thing to do at the time. Did they receive good advice?
Had anyone seen this disaster coming, and were the people prepared for it? After all, it wasn’t the first attack on the buildings, and why should anyone heed the warning signs by assuming that terrorists might attack them again? Was there any time for the trapped people to discuss and rationalize their moves, or was it too late for that as they were thrown into a panic, with nowhere to turn for help?
What a different story it might have been, had there been an overall plan for dealing with that moment of disaster! How different Pearl Harbor might have been, had the Americans taken precautions for just such an attack instead of setting themselves up before the enemy like sitting ducks! Have we learned anything, or are we allowing our land to become like a platter, with the ducks set in place on it for the enemy to devour?
For us, on the outside looking onto the sight of the smoke covered twin towers, we felt intense pain for those who were helpless in the face of their attackers. We could actually project ourselves into their shoes, feeling their desperation as their lives were surely flashing before them, doomed and about to be snuffed out. They must have been questioning as to whether or not they could have been saved if they had done something differently with their lives, which would have kept them from this disaster.
The agony of the moment caused some to become suicidal; they chose to jump to their death rather than face the deadly heat of their burning. Had Judas not felt that way when he betrayed the trust of Jesus? There no longer was any time left to reverse the state of their circumstances. In less than one hour, the towers would come down and nothing but the dust of the ash would remain smoldering where the majestic buildings had stood only moments before their fall, as monuments to world trade.
The fortress of the high fort of your walls He will bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, down to the dust (Isaiah 25:12).
…In the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall (Isaiah 30:25).
“For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.” And every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance (Revelation 18:17).
What the Word is warning about here is the fall of Satan’s economic system based on bartering and trading, with it all coming to an end in one hour when it will become nothing but ash before the onlookers. The fall of the twin towers of world trade was only the alarm bell and the sign of the disaster to come upon the entire world for man’s rebellion to God.
We, who know these things and bring the warnings of God’s Word to the people of America, are ignored, rejected, and often incarcerated in order for academia and the religion of Secular Humanism to continue lulling the people into a deep slumber. They, themselves, choose to ignore the signs and refuse to take the warning messages seriously, dragging all who will listen to them into the web they spin with lies.
Man has never wanted to listen to the truth of God while, at the same time, his itchy ears were always opened to the lies of Satan. Adam and Eve were the first to rebel against the truth, even though God warned them that they would return to dust again for doing so. By listening to Satan, they became sons of their father, the devil, unable to produce anything but the fruit of the tree from which they ate. This meant that the fruit of their marriage bed could never again produce good fruit for God, – only sons for Satan.
Their future held nothing more than a return back to the substance of death, which is dust, after having experienced life in the Spirit of God. This allowed Satan to set up his systems in the world, with man ruling over man (the political system); man providing for himself (the economic system); and man, choosing to worship the created, rather than worship the Creator (religious system).
The fall of the twin towers portends the coming economic disaster, which we are presently beginning to experience within our North American economy, for having walked away from God as a nation in covenant with Him. The Christian religious system is in a state of decline as God allows the idolatry of it to be exposed for what it is – people coming in the name of Christ but being far from Him. The political system has been so corrupted by liberalism that our constitutions, made in covenant with God, have been all but thrown out the window. We have chosen, instead, to make way for the counterfeit government of the world system over which Satan rules in the name of ‘rights’, and apartness from God.
The alarms have been ringing while we have been ignoring the billowing smoke. Fires rage in various parts of the nation, yet still we close the door upon the voice that speaks for God, warning of the impending doom.
Has it not been ever thus? Israel loved her religious system, but she hated the words of the prophet who spoke for God. She loved the gods of the surrounding gentile nations, but she was offended by her own God’s truth. Israel’s love focused inward on herself and the world, by refusing to love her Creator Who gave her life in the Spirit.
The Spirit and the bride will give the last call of the prophets of God, whom He has sent to His people. She will call for them to come out of the systems of the world and into the truth, before the judgment falls, as did the prophets of old call to the two nations of Israel.
For the world systems will grow for a brief period, like the twin towers grew into the sky and like the tower of Babel, before them, reached upward to God. But all the tower-building of men will come tumbling down to the ground where nothing but ash will remain in its place.
“And the kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’ And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore (Revelation 18:9-11).”
“And the fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all (Revelation 18:14).”
Alas, the warning signs were ignored, first by Adam and Eve, and next by the fruit of their union, the spirit of which was united to that of the liar, Satan. But the message of Revelation changes as we hear the words, “Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets, for God has avenged you on her (Revelation 18:20)!”
The time will come, and is nearly here, when the fire is going to judge a wicked world that has rejected God’s messengers. But for most of the sleepers, who have merely rolled over and gone back to sleep, it will be too late. “The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore. And the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived (Revelation 18:23).”
The truth is like a burning fire, and a flaming sword, which turns every way, guarding the way back to the tree of life (see Genesis 3:22-24). “Fire, fire!” Do not sleep through the call, but escape that flaming sword, which will cut through the lie to leave it for the burning.
