Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

Broad-minded tolerance is really nothing more than accepting the coexistence of good alongside of evil. It is referred to as ‘the tree of the knowledge of good and evil’. The resulting compromise crucifies the conscience, which acts as our moral compass. Instead of the compass needle pointing us in the right direction, it merely whirls around in uncontrolled circles.
When we enter a dark room, at first we can see nothing. Eventually, our eyes become accustomed to such darkness and soon we find ourselves able to maneuver about within the darkness.
What is happening in America is similar to that which happens in the dark room. Evil has been on the rise with what was once a godly society sitting back in institutional church pews of religion, while, slowly but surely, the light of the nation has been responding to the subtleness of a dimmer switch. The continual brainwashing of liberalism has been steadily desensitizing the believers into adjusting to the darkness of sin within the nation.
Jesus left His church with the great commission to be the light of truth in a dark world. America was as a bright picture of the kingdom, given by God to an otherwise dark, religious world, as a nation whose foundation was the truth of God’s Word. We understood the blessing of being American, and we displayed our patriotism proudly. We showed the world that a nation founded on the truth of the Bible and ruled by a God of truth, was the most desirable place to live in the entire world.
People flocked to America to become part of the American dream, where her citizens lived in liberty. Americans did not flock to other countries where there was no such equivalent dream or the liberty, which comes with it. The citizens of most of the world live in oppression under freedom-destroying religious controls.
And what communion has light with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14)? Can America step away from the light of truth by moving toward the darkness and still retain her liberty under God? There was no way Israel could manage it and, likewise, America will become entangled in the same kind of web as did her older sister. A step taken away from Jesus is the same thing as taking a step closer to the devil and the captivity, which he inflicts upon the human race.
For the people of our nation were once gentiles, as were the people of Israel, before God picked the nation up from the gentile wilderness and commanded her to live (see Ezekiel 16:6). We, too, were once caught in the same religious darkness, but then we were blessed, like Saul the Pharisee, by being confronted with the light of the Lord. We have been called, like Saul was called, to walk in that light as children of the Lord God, putting off our old man, to become a new one.
This was the way in which our people were instructed, until we allowed the darkness of evil to begin to squeeze out the good from the life-blood of the nation. We allowed ourselves to be deceived by the proponents of Political Correctness and liberalism, which hate the fruit of the Spirit, found only in goodness, righteousness and truth. This is what is acceptable to the Lord, leaving no room for fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness (see Ephesians, Chapter 5).
Christ was born as the Light of the world. When His voice was heard, the religious world shook in terror. The voice of the bride must create the same effect. The religious hated Him so much that eventually they led Him to the cross. In the same way, the religious church with a foundation set in the Romanism of Christianity, will respond no differently to the true revived apostolic church, when she comes bearing the light of truth to the religious system of Christianity, so erroneously called the church.
If the rest of the world is to continue to see the light of life and liberty in America, then the number one priority of this nation is to see that the Word of truth is restored to the classroom and the children are taught about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The church must thunder her voice on this issue if we are to succeed as a nation in bringing the light of Jesus to the world (see Psalm 29).
Speaking in tongues will not shine forth the light; speaking the truth of the gospels will. Going to church has nothing to do with being the church; we are called to walk as children of light, exposing the darkness to those held captive within it. We are to walk, not as the fools walk, but as the wise. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God (Ephesians 5:5).
Is it not time to teach our children the truth instead of the lies that endorse abominations and the ways of uncleanness and fornication? How can we be a light to the world when we are leading our own children into darkness? They will become mere disseminators of darkness, as we are witnessing today.
“Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light (Ephesians 5:14).”
Awake, America, on this the dawn of a New Year; walk as children of light!
