The Church

What is the church? Is it a building of brick, a cathedral of stone, or even a little white clapboard building made of wood, with a spire reaching heavenward? The first building, built of brick, was what we have come to know as the Tower of Babel, built of bricks held together by slime for mortar. The first temple built for God was Solomon’s temple, built of hand-cut stones and the cut-down cedar wood from Lebanon.
We have just read in the previous commentary that the stone for the temple came from Hiram, the king of Tyre, along with the wood he supplied for Solomon. In Scripture, Satan is represented spiritually by the king of Tyre, making this a demonic source for the temple building materials. In fact, we have to go all the way back to the first temple builders of Solomon’s temple to discover the demonic roots of the modern-day secret organization of the Masonic Order.
So in order to answer the question as to what the church is, we must ask ourselves whether or not its roots are founded in such structures as those made of brick, stone and dead wood.
Never in a million years was Jesus the designer of any of these structures of brick, stone and wooden institutional church buildings within the religious system of Christianity. How am I able to say such a thing, which some would call blasphemy? The answer is this; I receive my answers directly from the words of Jesus and not from the doctrines of man. Jesus, not man, established His church Himself, and He built it upon Himself, the Chief Cornerstone, which is the Truth made flesh.
When did He ever depend on Caesar or Rome to help Him build His true church? Was he Caesar, or was He God, Who gave the apostles to Jesus? Did Caesar or Jesus give the commission to the church?
Jesus did not build a church of brick, or a cathedral of hand-cut stones and wood; He built His church with people. You never go to a place called church if you belong to Jesus; you are His church, the body or vessel in action. Hence in the book of Acts, the church moves from the infilling of the Holy Spirit to the voice for truth, to the church going out in action. The roots of His church are in Him (the Truth), the Cornerstone, which has never had a tool of man touch it to make it a man-cut stone.
Twelve men were given the keys to the kingdom and later eleven of them were given the Commission from Him to go out into the world and preach the gospel of truth with no building program being mentioned. He declared that the gates of Hades would not prevail against His church.
Today more than half of the Christian institutional church organizations are functioning in total apostasy with the gates of Hades most certainly prevailing against them. Hence we have the bride, waiting in the wings, to become the true church restored to life and revived to rest on her proper apostolic foundation, the one and only true church of Jesus Christ.
Jesus never asked His church to become the laity for another high priest and his man-made priesthood, which responds to him instead of to the one High Priest called Jesus. God, Himself chose the twelve stones for His Son, to be with Him and learn from His teaching of the Word during His time on earth, when all but one of them were washed clean of religious doctrine by the truth.
Jesus said so, not I, when He washed their feet, saying that they needed no further washing for they had been washed by the Word. Whose Word, if not God’s Word, the truth of the Bible? “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you (John 15:3).” The only building program of Jesus was that of living stones, the temple being the body – the vessel of man, which the Spirit of truth and life came to indwell.
It is the same Spirit of God, breathed into Adam, which was rejected with the sin of Adam’s disobedience, whereby the door was opened for the spirit of death to take its place. Now, how could this happen? Man was offered a lure with a lie from Satan, which literally stated that God does not mean what He says. In other words, he declared that God’s Word was not the truth by suggesting to the woman Eve that she would surely not die by merely disobeying Him. The message is to not believe the Word, because after all, God makes Himself known as the God of love. Such words were spoken to Eve intending to assure her that He would not want to hurt His creation, which He loves. And there beside Eve, listening to Satan, are those in the mega churches being taken in by the lure and the lie.
Disobedience to God, in fact, is about the worst possible sin man can commit. On that day, at that moment when the woman accepted the lure and the lie, Gnosticism sprang forth and we have the birth of Secular Humanism, which sets about to break down man’s trust in the Word and its truth. The antichrist spirit is exactly that – it comes against the Christ, the Truth made flesh.
So, what is going on in our schools if not a program established by the anti-Christ, anti-truth spirit? Why do we have a problem with institutional Christianity making no effort to obstruct this antichrist spirit, which is filling the classrooms? The problem is this: Christianity is religion walled in by Satan’s building programs and doctrines. It has taken the apostolic church of Jesus captive and has stolen the name, which Jesus gave to His apostles. Then it applied the name to buildings, which became known as the church in place of the apostles, who were called to be witnesses to the truth and whom Jesus called His church.
Buildings are focused on building programs and keeping denominational doctrines alive by fusing them with secularism. The voice of the church, the voice of truth, must break away if it is to come alive again like Jesus’ friend, Lazarus, whom He loved and raised from the dead. Jesus had to be present at exactly the right time in order to raise him from the tomb to life. It was not at the time Mary and Martha, representing the nation and spiritual nation, wanted Him to be there for their sake, but rather it was in His timing that He performed the miracle for the sake of all mankind.
It will be in the Lord’s timing when He will raise up His voice to teach only truth so that the vessels can be washed clean again by the Word. Not all of the apostles could stand the washing, which resulted in one person being removed from the twelve to die a very sad death indeed. To refuse the washing is tantamount to committing suicide. The washing offers life and, without it, there is no place for anyone with Jesus in eternity. He said it; these words do not come from doctrines.
Think carefully, folks, before you answer the question, for it could be a matter of life or death. Do you go to church, or are you the church? Do you stand on religion, or do you stand on truth? If you stand on truth and are a voice for truth, you are on the way to the kingdom. You must choose this day either the narrow way of truth, or the broad road of the lie, religion, liberalism and Secular Humanism.
As for me, I choose the Way, not religion, and will do everything in my power to see that this nation returns to her roots in truth, and comes out of the grip, which all of the religions of this world, presently have upon her.
Our leaders have become hypocrites, carrying Bibles they do not understand, while supporting abominations listed in this same Book upon which they choose to swear, thereby acknowledging it to be the truth. These church-attending religious hypocrites are being allowed to lead us astray, without any opposition from a religious priesthood immersed in denominational doctrines. It does not understand, teach or uphold the Bible, which it falsely claims to be its source for teaching the laity.
It has become very apparent why the numbers are few for those who find the path upon which to enter the gateway to the kingdom. It is a narrow way, while broad is the road, the religious road, which leads to destruction. Wise is the nation, which having once been led to the narrow way, remains on the way, but foolish is the nation, which moves away from it to enter onto the broad road. It is at the cross, the crossroads of history, where the two paths meet, only to be separated on the other side for all eternity.
Satan’s plan is for world ruler-ship in a One World Order under the Antichrist, on his broad road, where there will be no loose stones of truth to prohibit his complete control over the world. He must kill them all off, which is the cause at the heart of all wars. Do you want Satan, the antichrist spirit of death to rule over you, or do you want Jesus, the way, the truth and the life to rule your life? It all boils down to life in truth or to death in the lies of Satan. It is the great divide that opened up in the Garden of creation, which led to God’s closure on the east side to the way back to the tree of life. Not everyone will find the way.
The time is now, for the Day of the Lord is upon us. “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:14-15).”
And it was in this spirit that Joshua led the Israelites in to possess the Land for the people of God, driving the Canaanites out before him, while destroying their pagan gods at the same time.
