America in Freefall

America, today, is in a state of freefall. She has fallen from her pedestal of liberty under God to a place where she will soon become a puppet state to the liberalism of the other nations of the world. She used to cry out to the world of nations to come and enjoy the liberty she had to offer to those who sought to escape from the religious captivity of oppressive regimes, so that they might enjoy freedom in a country under God. Many peoples of all religions could be seen weeping as they arrived in ships to catch their first glimpse of that Lady Liberty, holding high, in her one hand, the torch of light over the entranceway to the nation. Her other hand holds the tablet, symbolic of the Law of truth, separating America from all of the other countries of the world, which are in bondage to the religious/state controls of men.
People who entered this land were free to worship as they liked. But it was a fact that our very liberty and freedoms depended on teaching our children that the truth of the Bible is the only truth, as opposed to being just another book of religion. The spirit of prophecy self-validates its inerrancy (see Revelation 19:10). All children were given the opportunity, in their classrooms, to learn from it, for this was the foundational teaching, upon which our nation would be kept strong and free under God. No one was required or forced to believe anything, but they were given the opportunity to hear, unless excused for religious reasons at the request of parents. No one had the right to enter this land and take this foundational teaching of freedom away under the guise of ‘rights legislation’ that could destroy the underpinning of the nation. The founding fathers set up the laws of freedom that were to protect the generations to follow them, so that our land might be kept glorious and free under God. To cast a slur on the Bible was considered blasphemous and the next thing to treason.
The Word of God makes it clear exactly what it is that will keep our land free of terrorism and the coming One World Order, with its would-be ruler over the world, who, like Hitler and Nebuchadnezzar before him, will seek to be a god on earth. By the power of the sword, people under such rulers are forced to live in captivity to their every whim. The Bible tells us that foreigners in the land must abide by our Laws under God and that we do not adapt to their religious laws. The God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is the One and only God and there shall be no other gods before Him. Worship Allah or Buddha if you will, but there is no place in the public arena or on the public stage for any such false gods being given equal status with the one true God of Canada and the United States. Our nations are sovereign nations under God and we do not forge alliances, for the sake of peace, with the gentile nations of the world. Peace comes only from Jesus Christ, and it is only on Him that we depend for our power and victory over the enemy, which is always waiting in the wings for the open door that allows him to enter the land and devour God’s people.
Israel is the pattern, but America is the New World and the new promised land of the New Covenant. It is open to all nations to enter into the New Covenant, but those of the Covenant never join the pagan nations of the world. Columbus was the first hero of the New World, starting out on a voyage, which he knew was ordained by God. He fought the religious system all the way to get the show on the road. According to his personal log, his purpose in seeking the undiscovered worlds was to “bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the heathens” (see America’s God and Country by William J. Federer). He felt called to fulfill the great commission of Jesus given to His apostolic church. George Washington caught a glimpse of God’s plan for America, as can be seen in one of his writings where he is quoted by Federer: May the same wonder-working Deity, who long since delivering the Hebrews from their Egyptian Oppressors planted them in the promised land – whose providential agency has lately been conspicuous in establishing these United States as an independent Nation – still continue to water them with the dews of Heaven and to make the inhabitants of every denomination participate in the temporal and spiritual blessings of that people whose God is Jehovah.
Ronald Reagan could almost see the shining city on the hill, a city dressed like a bride, the New Jerusalem, here on earth. On January 25, 1974 he spoke these words in an address: Standing on the tiny deck of the Arabella in 1630 off the Massachusetts coast, John Winthrop said, “We will be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us, so that if we deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken and so cause Him to withdraw His present help from us, we shall be made a story and a byword throughout the world.” Well, we have not dealt falsely with our God, even if He is temporarily suspended from the classroom. On August 23, 1984, just over ten years later, he spoke these words: Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience….without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure….If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under.
What happened in the years before Reagan’s speeches? In 1962 the illustrious judges of the Supreme Court of the United States banned the saying of prayers in the famous New York prayer case. In 1963 the same illustrious group of judges banned the reading of the Bible in public schools. In pushing ever outward these same schools now do not even allow their students voluntary prayer. Cases were brought before the courts to abolish the words “Under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance, and to remove “In God We Trust” from the public documents and from the United States Currency. Is it any wonder the Bible starts with the judges of Israel whose corruption was legendary in leading the people away from God, before she began the long history of corrupt kings? Was God giving us a prophetic message for America today, which would be well advised to dump the system of politically appointed liberal judges and look to a method of appointment that would make room for the believer of the truth of the Bible? Then we might begin to receive God’s righteous justice that comes only through Jesus Christ. It seems to me that swearing on the Bible as the measure of truth, should also imply that it be used for the measure of justice. Biased judges are an abomination to the nation.
Canada has fared no better than her neighbor to the south. Her judicial system is corrupt to the core, and the openly declared biases of her Supreme Court judges make the notion of any possibility for true justice existing to be nothing but a farce. The serious issue of this nation is whether or not she will repent of her ways and return to God, with Whom she is in covenant. He does not treat covenant breakers lightly. It is time our politicians begin looking again to the Bible for answers to the political problems facing the nation, for the only solutions that will work are found within the covers of this Book. God is God, and He will laugh at His people who reject His counsel. I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, when your terror comes like a storm, and your destruction comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you (Proverbs I:26-27). His victory will not depend on the institutions of man, for which He has no need or liking. Legislate if you will that a man can marry a man, but the complete ridiculousness of thinking man can change that which God has ordained, is like believing that oil can be turned into water; it simply will never be. For God’s Law and His statutes for the nature of the family will still be standing when the liberal governments of this world and the perpetrators of sexual immorality will have fallen under the power of His judgment.
It was a simple thing for God to give Canadians the message that the Member of Parliament, Svend Robinson, who initiated the action to change the nature of marriage, was a common thief. He not only was caught in the act of stealing a ring of immense value for another man, but he also tried to rob this nation of God and His institution of marriage. God never sleeps nor slumbers, but will expose the darkness to the light, when it so pleases Him. And what was the response of the people to this man’s thievery? They made the cry again that echoed down through the centuries, when, once before, Israel had been forced to make a choice between a man of sin and a sinless Man. One could hear echoes of the cry, “Let Barabbas go” as the sinful man went scot-free, while, at the same time, the sinless Man of God was being condemned by the same people. Are we any different from that group of Israelites, who cried for the blood of Jesus to be on them and on their children?
Israel faced her day of judgment, when she was driven from the land and the religious temple of Judaism came down, with not one stone left standing on another. Never think for a moment that the institutional church stones are not going to come down in the same way, and that this nation will not face the same judgment. The church, which should have been a light to the nation and to other nations, has been nothing but a dead weight of dead wood, sitting in dead pews, listening to dead messages coming from a dead priesthood. Where is the voice that Jesus commanded His church to be? Our leaders claim to be Christians. What do they mean by that? Have our illustrious Prime Ministers, Pierre Trudeau, Joe Clarke, Jean Chrétien, and now Paul Martin, all claiming to be good Christian Roman Catholics, ever stood for the morality of God’s Word, the truth of Jesus Christ, the right for our children to learn the Bible in the classrooms of the nation, or the right for prayer in the same classrooms? These apparently upright leaders claim the right to pray publicly for themselves, when it suits their political image to do so, but, at the same time, deny the right to our children. Has any one of them ever upheld the heritage of this land under the ruler-ship of God? The answer is a resounding “No”. Hypocrites all!
And how about President Bush’s efforts to bring liberty to countries that are not under God’s Law, but rather are under the laws of pagans? Liberty cannot be an exported commodity. It only belongs to a nation that is submitted to the one and only true God. Countries living under religious Islamic rule have no possibility, whatsoever, to live in peace and liberty for any lengthy period of time, for their governments are under the sway of Satan. Iraq and the world at large are better places for having been rid of the demonic lunacy of such a leader as Saddam Hussein. He, himself, was the weapon of mass destruction, whose targets were Israel and America, whether or not any other weapons were found in Iraq. There were single mass graves discovered in his own country that held more victims of this man’s obsession for killing than there were numbers of soldiers’ lives claimed while fighting to free the world from his tyranny.
Liberty in America is threatened, not by forces from outside of the nation, but rather by spiritual forces from within. The priesthood of Christianity and of its religious institutions, rather than being a voice to keep this nation under God, has rolled over and played dead. In fact, it has joined with the Caesars of today every bit as much as Judaism linked up with the Roman Caesar of Jesus’ day. It is not with the sword of the world that victory will be achieved over the enemy in this land, but rather by the sword of truth, which cuts through the lie like a deadly knife. The battle America is waging at this moment for her very life is a spiritual battle within her own shores, between the forces of evil and the forces of good. Satan is stealing the media and the institutions of learning, while, at the same time, filling the religious institutions, called churches, with his Jezebel spirit. But the Lord is raising His own apostolic warriors in the line of David who, at this very moment as I write, are donning their spiritual armor in preparation for the battle ahead. Hold on to your hats for there is a rocky road ahead.
It is not a revival of religion that we need in America, but rather a revival of the apostolic church, with a return to its testimony to the truth of the gospel. This Davidic army must be willing to take on the giant of secular humanism, which is destroying a whole generation of our children. It is time for God’s people to take back the school rooms, the media, the judiciary and the parliament of Canada, whether it offends the enemy that would destroy us from within or not. It matters little or not whether man is offended by the truth, but it does matter if God is offended by His people, who refuse to be a light to the world for truth. Hollywood continues to pour out anti-American sentiments and pro-Islamic tripe. Its preoccupation with sexual immorality is setting the standard for a whole generation of people who know very little more, now, than that which they see on the not-so-silver screen. It is difficult to find any decency on television, even within the children’s programming. They are being forced to cope with violence and sexual explicitness that go far beyond their emotional capabilities for handling such trash.
Where is there a leader in America who will stand up and say, “To heck with political correctness, for it is nothing but a spotted cow; it is time for the nation to come back to God? Too bad there are foreigners in the land who don’t like the heritage that makes this country great. Perhaps, they would be better advised to return to the oppressive regimes, with their religious controls, from which they have come. We no longer welcome those to this country who would steal our inheritance in God from our nation, an inheritance for which our forefathers fought so hard to preserve. Perhaps it is time to take a look at organizations such as the ACLU, and ask ourselves whether or not they serve their country or should be disbanded for having anti-American and anti-God agendas. Perhaps we should be looking very closely at the homosexual agenda, asking ourselves just what it is all about, if not to capture the minds of our children. Is not its aim to indoctrinate them into accepting an unhealthy lifestyle, rooted in the perversion of sex and the breakdown of the family?”
America is in a state of freefall and it is time for the voice for the Lord to rise up in this land and reclaim it for Him before it is too late. The day came when God closed the door on Noah’s ark, and the people, who were not safely inside, received His judgment. The waters of the deep were opened, as He removed His hand of protection from the world and the water from heaven rained down upon an evil people who had walked away from Him. The Lord God is getting ready to close the door once again on the evil of mankind, but He has promised that He will never again cover over the earth with a flood. This time, it will be the fire judgment that will come down upon sinful men, not merely to cover over their sins, but rather to burn sin up. While there is still time, the sons of God need to get out their brooms and sweep this nation clean, for if we don’t do it ourselves, then God will do it for us. “I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” says the Lord of hosts. (Isaiah 14:23)
