A Nation or a Kingdom?

Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out  from a different perspective                                                           by Elinor Montgomery A Nation or a Kingdom?December 23, 2007 What is it that the Christian mentality simply does not get, as it races back to Israel to join with Judaism in what is referred to as being a Judeo-Christian value-pack? The values of Judaism sufficed to deny the salvation of Jesus on the cross.  But then, let us not ignore the most recent declaration of the Archbishop of the Anglican Church, perhaps the largest denomination of Protestantism, revealed in an article written for Telegraph.co.uk, entitled  Archbishop says nativity ‘a legend’ by Sophie Borland. This is a man to whom Christians look with reverence, and a man whom they regard as their spiritual authority. Furthermore, their hard-earned dollars go into the support of the organization of which he is the leader. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, our doctor of the divinity of humanism, fulfills his role as divine humanist by trying to debunk the Word of God regarding what it says about the birth of Jesus in the book of Matthew.  First of all, the magi were men holding offices around the king as advisors like Daniel, making them rulers in the sense that they influenced the ruler-ship of kings. Daniel was described as the third ruler of the land. The Bible clearly states these men came to worship at the manger scene. The plural pronoun indicates that there was more than one, and if three gifts were given to Jesus, it is a no-brainer to assume that there were three bearers of gifts from afar.  Is Mr. Williams suggesting that he knows better than the Word of God, when he declares there is no evidence these men existed? The three magi point prophetically to the kings of the world bowing on bended knee one day before the triune nature of God, seen in the person of that ‘Babe’ lying in a manger. To the contrary, the un-numbered shepherds point prophetically to a priestly line of David without numbers, bowing before the Lord of lords.  Williams has the audacity to state “God’s Word works well as a legend.” He said there probably weren’t any asses present at the manger scene without giving any authority for making such a statement. There is no question in my mind regarding the truth of their presence.  The beasts’ presence is prophetic of Jesus coming to testify to the truth to fallen man, such as our eminent doctor of divinity and myself, seen by God in our beastly nature as sons of our father the devil. Jesus arrived in that manger, so that one day He could save the dumb asses, which spout such foolishness as our reverend Archbishop. Was the Lord God not able to speak through even a dumb donkey to serve His purpose in the spirit of prophecy? It would appear Mr. Rowan Williams cherishes his religious titles more than he cherishes Jesus, the Word made flesh. He is, perhaps, the most obvious example, which one could give to demonstrate the apostasy that fills the counterfeit institutions of Christianity. However, he has a sizeable group of priestly cohorts from the other denominations, spouting the same nonsense.  Unfortunately, he gives credence to the questions of comedian Ricky Gervais who cannot fit the pieces of the puzzle together when faced with such incomprehensible testimony. It certainly does not match the commission given to the apostolic church. Rightly so, the comedian questions whether that which is being taught in faith schools is anything more than indoctrination. I personally would not want to trust my dog to Anglican holy men, let alone the spiritual life of my child, if their high priest is willing to treat Jesus so shabbily.  In point of fact, Christian leaders, like this man, join in the true relationship that exists between Judaism and Christianity. Our modern Pharisees of Christianity are as eager to put Jesus to the cross, as were the first-century Pharisees of Judaism. This is the Judeo-Christian value-pack, which links the two religious groups together. The true church could never identify in principle with any religious group that does not recognize the divine purposes of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  When one comes against Jesus and the Word, in either word or deed, one does so in apostasy, sealing one’s fate on the Day of Judgment. The house of Israel has always been about a kingdom dwelling-place with the Lord Jesus, in the house of God. Well did Jacob know this, when he changed the name of Luz to Bethel, at the place where he saw a ladder reaching up to heaven in a dream. He knew the place where he laid his head on a rock for a pillow was none other than the house of Israel, and the gateway to the heavenly kingdom.  Jesus is the gate of heaven, which He first opened through Abraham to whom He promised a great nation, which would bless all the families of the earth. The gates of the New Jerusalem have the names of the tribes written on them, but the foundation is laid by the apostles with the pillars being as the bride. The stone that Jacob anointed as the pillar was the Chief Cornerstone present even with Jacob at Bethel where the plan for salvation took root. A true believer never honors or respects religions, which Jesus so hated. The apostolic church witnesses only to the truth, despising the idols of religion. Show me any place in the Bible where the apostle Paul spoke favorably of religion and endorsed it in place of endorsing truth to the people. I recently read in the wish list of a highly respected so-called Christian journalist that he wishes respect for all religions will come about in the coming New Year. He equates this notion with the idea that peace is dependant upon such acceptance of religious diversities. If he wishes for such a thing, it flies in the face of the Word, which constantly warns to separate from religious idolatry and come into the truth. Should we somehow be looking back to Israel, within her worldly national borders, for some special blessing from Jesus? I don’t think so, for today, Jerusalem, the war zone for religious factions, is described in the book of Revelation as being like Sodom and Egypt, just waiting for the fire judgment to fall upon her. Our sights should be set upward, looking toward the New Jerusalem and the kingdom of the house of God and the spiritual house of Israel. There will be no liars or religious holy men there, only those who love the truth of the Word, the priests and saints who have been the witnessing voice for the true church.  The freight train of the giant religious system’s propagators is racing through this nation. Don’t get caught on the track, but rather stop for the warning signals. Religion is not the Way to the kingdom, nor is it Jacob’s ladder to the kingdom, but rather it is the fast track to destruction. www.voiceofthekingfisher.ca
