What the Prophet Ezekiel has to say about O’bama(h)
August 25, 2008
For anyone who thinks the Bible is outdated, I have good news for you. Its truths are timeless, and the God of truth changes not. He hates religion and, worse still, He hates any religion being tied to His people who are called to separation from religious/state governments. This is what separated Israel and America from the other countries of the world, that is to say, until Israel was finally judged for becoming just another religious/state like the Gentile nations, where religious gods, and not God, was honored.
The prophet Ezekiel brings us up-to-date on this matter. In chapter twenty of the book of Ezekiel, he outlines God’s dealing with His people in bringing them out of Egypt and into the wilderness. Egypt represents the religious empire-building nations of the world and the wilderness represents the world as a place of testing for separation of God’s own people in truth ruled by His Law as keepers of the Sabbaths, which honor Him, not religion.
“Therefore I made them go out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness. And I gave them My statutes and showed them My judgments, which, if a man does, he shall live by them. Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them (Ezekiel 20:10-12).”
Now, every Word spoken here refers to both nation and spiritual nation, to America as well as to Israel, where God brought the spiritual nation out of the Egypt, or nations of the world, to her wilderness with a second crossing of the sea. How He blessed these people whom He set free of religion, liberating them with the truth and the just Laws of God as opposed to being subjected to the cruel laws of religion! Every man was meant to be judged according to His ways and not by the killing and torturous ways of the religious idolatrous gods such as Allah and Buddha!
Ezekiel goes on to show the lack of gratitude of God’s people for the wonderful works He did for them. “Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, which, if a man does, he shall live by them; and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them (Ezekiel 20:13).” God says that He did this for His name’s sake that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles of the religiously controlled states and their idols.
One needs to go back to Genesis to see that names are so important to God that He would delegate the right to Adam to name every living creature. Whatever name Adam gave them, they were to remain their names. However, God reserved for Himself the right to name men with names that suitably reflect His calling upon their lives or, as in certain cases, the curses, which are placed upon them, sometimes of generational origins. Such curses are commonly known as ‘the past baggage’, which many of us carry around with ourselves.
We sometimes see names given to reflect spiritual changes in men and nations. A prime example of this is the grandson of the priest Eli, born of his wicked son Phinehas’ wife, who was named Ichabod, to show the glory had departed from Israel.
John the Baptist was to be named John, showing a change was at hand for the Levitical priesthood, in which it would be transferred from a national line to a spiritual line. Jewishness, or the house of Israel, would be opened to the entire world for the asking, with the priesthood now reflecting the inclusion of former gentiles such as the Greeks. Simon, the Hebrew fisherman, would be renamed Peter by Jesus, as the little stone and true Jew of the house of Israel, having moved on from a national identity to a spiritual identity, yet, still along the Way to the kingdom.
The list of the importance of names is endless, culminating in God declaring His Son would be called Jesus, a form of Joshua, meaning ‘God is salvation’.
Recognizing the meaningfulness of the name attached to the person, we move on in Ezekiel to discover more about God’s fury and what was at the root of His final judgment on Israel. The people had used high places to carry out their religious idolatry that the God of truth so hated about their rituals and blaspheming of the Lord, which would ultimately lead to their unfaithfulness to Him.
Their religion provoked God to the point He finally asked, “What is this high place to which you go? So its name is called BAMAH to this day (Ezekiel 20:29).” O Bama(h) means ‘of Bama(h)’, or ‘a son of idolatrous-religious high places’. Note that Sarah and Sara are different forms of the same name, having the same meaning, just as Bamah and Bama are merely different forms of the same name, having the same meaning.
Can America fail to see the importance of a man being called by the name of Obama? It is to indicate such a person is of the religious high places God so hates and will not tolerate within His nation. Whatever such a person has in mind, Ezekiel clearly tells us: “So shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live,” says the Lord God, “I will not be inquired of by you. What you have in your mind shall never be, when you say, ‘We will be like the Gentiles, like the families in other countries, serving wood and stone (Ezekiel 20:31-32).’”
Let us take a moment to look at Barack Obama’s middle name of Hussein. This is about as Muslim as it comes, running the gamut from Hussein, the name of Mohammed’s grandson to Saddam Hussein, the name of the corrupt former Muslim ruler and killer of Iraq.
Barack Hussein Obama grew up a Muslim, declaring himself to be a convert to Christianity. In the eyes of Islam, he is only worthy of death, for they do not recognize converts. How is it that there has been no uproar from the Muslim world about his so-called Christian status, which makes him an enemy of Islam? Is it possible that having once been a Muslim, he is still a Muslim sympathizer, and the Muslim world knows it? Is his ultimate purpose to undermine and destroy this nation? These questions must be asked and answered, and should have been addressed before he ever became a Senator, let alone the President of the United States of America, presently under attack from Islam.
America, you are right down to the line, at which time your vote is bringing you to the hour of decision! Do you want God, or do you want more multiculturalism, the very thing He hates and for which He will judge this nation? Your choice for the high places will cause you to lose the ear of God in the coming time of your trouble, when Islam fulfills its purpose of turning America into another Islamic country.
You are the author of your fate; He is the Master of your life. Choose God and reject Bama(h), the name associated with the religious high places, He so hates. If you want such a man, you will also receive the curse of God, which comes with his religious ties.
When we threw out the Ten Commandments and deprived our children from getting understanding, we forsook the blessings of God to embrace the curse He promised would fall upon His children Israel. The first, and most important Commandment states, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me (Exodus 20:2-3).”
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; (Deuteronomy 30:19).”
