Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

Dr. Terry Jones of Dove World Outreach Center of Gainesville, Florida, has decided to launch a Burn a Koran Day on September 11th, 2010. He has decided his followers will burn the Koran on the property of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, in remembrance of the fallen victims of 9/11 and to stand against the evil of Islam. He has openly declared that Islam is of the devil.
Almost every religious leader, including the Pope and the politicians, has soundly denounced him for his plan. Why have they denounced him? The answer is that they are cowards and afraid to do what the church and politicians should have done years ago.
They are the same ones who denounce him who are also the promoters of Political Correctness. They are the ‘gutless’ priesthood and politicians who have given up truth to embrace the lie and have allowed the lies of Political Correctness to be planted in the classrooms, the judiciary, the government and the institutional Christian church, regardless of what the electorate has to say about the matter. They have promoted multi-cults in this land to the great detriment of this nation founded under God and His Word.
Are the Christian priesthood and politicians in line with what the Bible has to say with respect to their denouncement of Dr. Jones or is Jones actually obeying the Word of God by carrying out the burning? Of course, the truth of the matter is that Jones is obeying the Word of God.
Jesus was no wimp who shrank away from His religious/state enemy. He never once suggested to the apostles of His church to tread very carefully before the religious men and government officials and to be sure not to upset the enemy lest it resort to extreme measures. He assured His apostles that the enemy would do exactly that.
Dr. Jones is behaving like a David, the soldier and anointed of God, who showed up and embarrassed King Saul and the entire army of Israel. They were all cringing like sissies, too afraid to take on the Philistine giant, who is in the same family line with the Palestinian giant of Islam, today. The Israelites, unlike David, were frightened out of their wits and had no trust in their God to give the victory to His people. To the contrary, David wanted to know who this uncircumcised Philistine was that he should dare to defy the armies of the living God.
Even his oldest brother criticized him, asking who in the world he thought he was taking on the giant in combat. Now, David rebuked him because he knew exactly who he was. He was an untrained soldier, according to the military and his governing king, but this was of no concern to David, for he was a warrior according to God, who had learned at His feet and had been trained from his youth to deal with the beasts, which threatened his father’s flock. He had delivered the flock, as a young boy, from both the lion and the bear.
He knew exactly how to handle the beast and, like David dealing with the Philistines who were sons of the beast, Dr. Jones is challenging the Muslims, who are equally sons of the beast. In fact, Jesus said of the religious Pharisees, that they, too, were sons of their father the devil. The truth is that all who are not born again of the Spirit of life are like sitting, dead ducks, as sons of their father the devil, which makes them sons of the beast. For they are born into the line of Adam and Eve, and are doomed to die in their original sin unless born again.
Does God endorse the burning of the Koran? Of course He does. One only has to look to the Word to discover how very much in favor He would be of such a burning.
The prophet Elijah challenged the false religious prophets of Baal to call on their gods while he called on his God, to see which of the two would answer with fire, to put an end to the claims of the false prophets within Israel’s borders. Of course there was no voice from the gods of Baal and there was no fire that could destroy the altar of the Lord.
But Elijah prepared the altar with stones and cried out to the Lord God of Israel saying he was His servant and only did what he was told by the Voice of God, so that the people would know He is the Lord only who has turned their hearts back to Him again. And the fire of the Lord fell and the prophets of Baal were executed by Elijah, who had dared to call down the fire of God upon evil in the land. The outcome of his daring caper rid the land of every last one of the evil prophets of Baal.
After several wicked kings had gone before him, Josiah, as a very young boy of eight years of age, became king over Judah and ruled in Jerusalem. He did what was right in the sight of the Lord and walked in the ways of his father, David. That means he was fearless in the face of his religious enemies, as he sought the truth of God. He had about him trustworthy servants whom he called upon to begin rebuilding and to make repairs to the house of the Lord.
The Book of the Law, which had been lost, was found and read to the king. The king knew in the Spirit that God was very angry with His people for not obeying His Word according to all that was written in the Book. God’s voice declared to a prophetess that He would bring calamity upon Israel for the idolatry that she had brought into His land. They were offering incense to other gods rather than to Him. The ‘gutless’ Christian priests and politicians are more afraid of the god of Islam than they are of our own true God in America, whose wrath will not be quenched.
However, God recognized a heart tender for Him in the young King Josiah. The king re-read the covenant to the people, and standing by a pillar (the church, His bride and pillar of the temple of God), he renewed the covenant with all his heart and promised to perform the words of truth. And so the people took their stand for the covenant and the king commanded his loyal servants to bring the religious articles made for Baal out of the temple to be burned outside Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, carrying their ashes to Bethel, the place of the house of God.
Josiah went on a burning spree of all that was an offense to God in the land and pulverized their altars to pagan gods. He broke down their sacred pillars, which point to the mosques today in America, which have been built as an offense to God in this land.
He did the cleanup by burning and destroying the wicked structures and then had the people keep Passover, which they had ceased to do since the days of the judges. Are we not living in the days of the judges who have ignored the Passover Lamb of God by removing Him and His Law from the public square to make room for Mohammed and Shariah law, without the people having been given any say in the matter?
My friends, we have a choice. Either, like Dr. Terry Jones, we burn out the religious idolatry from this land of God, or else He will send His fire of judgment down in the same manner as He did for Elijah, and do the burning for us. One can only imagine the wrath of God when we honor the religious Koran and dishonor Him by abusing His Word of truth, the Bible, which we have taken from our children, and from the public square. We have done worse than burn the Bible; we have treated it as if it does not exist.
Dr. Jones, you have earned a crown, which is the promise of the Lord, for the overcomer who walks fearlessly before the devil.
“Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie – indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I come quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown (Revelation 3:9-11).”
“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness (Malachi 3:2-3).”
