A New Kid on the Block!

Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out…from a different perspective

If the rest of you have been responding with a yawn in the face of Canadian politics, then I am here to tell you that it is time for us to wake up and take note. There is a new kid on the block, and it looks like there might be hope for Canada once again.

I recently heard about a man called Maxime Bernier from a close friend of mine who had met him through Kevin O’Leary, a friend of his. My friend felt something stirring within himself, as he began to wonder if it were possible he had just met the emerging Donald Trump of Canadian politics. “He had a different style from that of the President,” he said, “but he had all the signs of one driven to change this country for the better with a determination, which proved to be at the heart of his enthusiasm.”

Who is this man Bernier? I began to wonder. I was told he was the leader of a new conservative-type of party called the People’s Party of Canada (PPC). Then I was told that he was actually going to hold a political rally in Napanee, only a few miles from Kingston, so a group of us decided to go to the meeting. Our local PPC candidate was going to be there, as well, and I was curious, for it was said that there is an excitement building around the party already, with their numbers rising quickly in the polls. In a very short period of time, the leadership had managed to pull together candidates in nearly every riding. Excitement was hardly the word to describe it; it is more like a miracle baby.

We managed to find the last parking spot in the lot, with a very large number having congregated for the size of the room, and on one of the last, sunny, Sunday afternoons of the summer. Yes, I thought to myself, this is going to be interesting. And that it was! Maxime Bernier proved to be a ‘tour de force’ who could inspire one to see victory around the corner.

He had been a cabinet minister in the Conservative government before he resigned to become leader of the new PPC Party. There has been the criticism that he simply will cause vote splitting, but, in fact, disgruntled Liberals are moving toward his party, as are the unhappy Conservatives whose leadership seems to be showing no backbone, whatsoever. At the rate these two parties are going, we certainly will not return to our former greatness as a nation in the near future. There is absolutely no question about this man Bernier’s backbone. He handled a disgruntled heckler with ease, dignity and great aplomb, which left his audience clapping, while rising to their feet at the same time. Then too, he certainly will appeal to the French population of Quebec, which naturally likes to see one of its own at the helm.

Is there anyone left who is not fed up with the politics of the Trudeau regime? The father attended the London School of Economics, where he learned to embrace the ideology of Communism and its brand of economics. Following that he then put on his sandals and traveled eastward to embrace eastern philosophy and religion, only to return to Canada with what one might call a gaggle of demons attached to him, which was anything but a flock of Canada geese. It would appear the son has inherited them from the father as he courts the idea of a worldwide religion and an economic system closely tied to that of the UN with its plan for no national borders in the areas of a one world government, a one world economy and a one world religion.

Who is really interested in the Liberal sellout of the nation? On top of that, who can truly support a Conservative Party, which is no longer interested in its Canadian Heritage that has always been about the life and protection of its citizens? It no longer finds itself able to do so, as it supports the religious death cults invading our land in the process of transforming it with Multiculturalism. It has become nothing more than a weak branch and sister of Progressive Liberalism.

I feel compelled to say that the PPC Party actually has a good opportunity this time around of pulling off a Trump kind of surprise victory and a Brexit type of surprise win, as western nations are beginning to say they have had enough of that stupid, political nonsense of meaningless speech called political correctness. They are also fed up with the mass immigration of the same enemy we are sending our own men to fight, with some dying in the process of winning the war on terrorism. They come to live in our land on our tax dollars, which the Liberals have allocated to them while our own senior citizens and veterans from wars fighting these murderers see little or none of the same tax dollars.

Our local PPC candidate, Andy Brooke, is a stellar man who has proven his desire to serve Canada well as an RCMP officer retired after 28 years of service and as a conservative candidate for office in the true sense of the word. His heart is for helping veterans and their families whose allegiance is to our God and our country.

Having just listened to one of the best political platforms I have ever heard, and I have heard many over the years, from Mackenzie King to what I dearly hope is the last of the Trudeau clan, I have decided to give my vote, my financial support and my time to help the PPC in any way I am able to do so.

Mr. Brooke and his campaign manager joined me for coffee just five days after our Sunday encounter. I quickly learned he was a man of personal responsibilities, fairness and respect. He believes one should act only in a spirit of possibilities for what is bold and attainable. He believes, as well, that his job is to become a voice for the citizens of Canada girded with integrity and a willingness to be a truthful politician who will never be bought by big moneyed interests. He believes in triumphing in principles and suffering for them. By resting on principles, he claims that no donor, no corporation and no special interest group will own him or his campaign, or will they later buy his vote on controversial issues. He is a great advocate for free speech and for seeing our courts rid of activist judges.

I have to conclude that this is a mighty man of God who is on the pathway to making Canada great again, and I am grateful for having this caliber of candidate in the election. We are also privileged here in Canada to have a party such as this, the equal of which I do not see anywhere else in any other country in the world, which is as economically wise and as morally-based as the People’s Party of Canada.

This election is an opportunity, the likes of which we may never see again, and I would strongly suggest that all Canadians, no matter what their political leanings, seriously consider this option for Canada at this time in history.

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY PPC TODAY, and may you have many more!

ENDORSEMENT BY THE EDITOR OF NEWS N BLUES

This is an amazing story of a fictitious president and a fictitious woman. His story is based on the actual political scenario we are facing in the United States and the world today. Hers is based on the true facts of the life of our own commentator who has written for us from a different perspective for years under the label of the Voice of the Kingfisher. What is that perspective? The story will grip you to the end where their paths finally meet. I have never read a story before quite like it.
