Gold, silver and bronze medals – but where is the medal of iron? Because we have taken the truth from our children, they cannot answer this question. How many parents have dust collecting on their Bibles so that they, as well, cannot answer the question?
These are the substances of which the empire-building nations of this world and the temples of religion are made (see 1 Chronicles 29). They are all part of the Babylonian system, which God holds in His hand to either chastise or destroy His people Israel by making them slaves to this world system.
The battle of the nations for supremacy and control of the world is symbolized in the honors accorded to the winning athletes competing for their respective nations in the Olympic Games. The gold medal goes to the one finishing first, in recognition of world supremacy in his or her field of training. The silver goes to the one who follows in second place and the bronze medal goes to the one who places third in the same field.
All of this is pure symbolism of the first three empires of the Babylonian world system ruled by the sword, which are described by these metals; Babylon, head of fine gold, Medo-Persia, chest and arms of silver and, finally, Greece, the belly and thighs of bronze. This described the great image given to King Nebuchadnezzar whose splendor was excellent and awesome as it appeared in a dream.
Each metal represented the world empires, ruled by man, in his attempt to be ruler over all the nations of the world and be worshipped like a god (the messiah-complex). There have been many of these would-be ruling gods, going back as far as the days of Nimrod to Pharaoh, and in the latter days, Napoleon to Hitler. The statue symbolizes an act in progress, even unto this very day (see the book of Daniel, chapter 2). Herein, is found the root at the heart of the antichrist spirit.
All of these empires ruled over the known world of the Middle East of their day as well as over Egypt and Assyria, the former world-empires, to which Israel became a captive people. She was forced to bow down and worship their gods in what was an act of rebellion against God Who wanted her to have no other gods before Him. Is this not the first of the Ten Commandments?
Nebuchadnezzar built a golden image in the form of a statue proportionate to the Statue of Liberty in size, and set it in Babylon. All rulers and the people were required to bow down and worship this statue, including the Israelites. However, the prophet Daniel and his three friends refused to do so. Such steadfast loyalty to God led to Daniel’s promotion, rather than to his downfall, which made him third ruler in the land.
Why is the iron missing from the Olympic medals? It represents the last empire of the dream statue, the legs, signifying its division into two parts – the early Roman Empire and the latter-day Roman Empire, which has feet of iron and clay. The latter-day branch of the iron empire represents all the nations of the world coming together into a One World Order in which it will be divided into ten sections represented by the ten toes of the statue.
This iron empire is described as a fierce beast, which devours with its mouth of iron teeth all the nations of the world. But the good news is that it cannot stand on its crumbling foundation when crushed by a stone made without hands (Jesus). It will become like chaff from the summer threshing floor, which the wind will lift up and take away. Now, this threshing floor is where David prepared for his son Solomon the materials to build a temple in Israel, supposedly to house the covenant.
It was a big mistake on the part of King David, for the substances he used were gold, silver, bronze and iron, plus hewn timber and tooled, cut stones from Tyre and Sidon. What man can take of the substance of this world, which God has given him, and give back to God that which is already His? David finally understood that by giving these things back to God and offering animal sacrifices to Him served no real purpose, where hope is concerned (see 1 Chronicles 29). He came to understand that God tests the heart and takes pleasure in uprightness.
Of such was the heart of David in offering to build a temple for God of His own substances, not because he took pride in his offering or accomplishment, but rather in serving God in his use of these substances. One has to ask oneself just how much of the heart of David can be found in the institutions calling themselves church today?
David was much like a Daniel who would not bow to other gods though he learned to serve God faithfully under a king of this world, which Israel so desperately wanted and whom God anointed in order to give her exactly what she wanted. They are the same gods who ruled over the third Babylonian, world empire of Greece, which are recognized in the Olympic Games, who hail from Mount Olympus. When the games began those many centuries ago, there was no iron empire as of yet.
However, with the fourth iron empire of Rome, Caesar encompassed all of the gods, forcing all of the conquered nations to recognize him as god and ruler over all nations. Unfortunately for him, his tenure of office came in conflict with another Man, Who claimed His position as Lord and King over all the gods and rulers of the world. His name was Jesus, the Christ, and Caesar and his Roman army would prove to be no match, whatsoever, for Jesus and His army, which He named His Church.
As the final revived Roman Empire raises up its ugly head again, it most certainly is going to be crushed on that very same threshing floor designated by David for Solomon to build his temple in which it was intended for Israel to worship God, with no other gods before Him. But there stands a mosque, today, built in honor of a false god of this world. It will all come tumbling down, like the man-made temple of King Solomon, where other gods were worshiped, in order to make room for the Cornerstone of the church Who will rule and reign forever more. There will be no other Messiah ruling over the threshing floor of Ornan, which King David purchased (see 1 Chronicles 21:18-30).
There will be no medal of victory for the iron empire that will not stand; the Lord God is about to give out His perfect gold reward for His skating partner, the bride of the church. Together, they are going to skate to victory under His guiding hand in the perfect skate leading to the position of the third ruler in the kingdom along side of her Beloved, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
The stump and the root of the tree were never cut down (see the book of Daniel, chapter 4). The foundation of the early apostolic church was left for its renewal and re-growth in the latter days once the religion was cut out of her and the root cleaned up as one might cut out a bad infection or disease.
And so the religious worship of the gods is going to come to its end, just as the towers of man, the World Trade Towers, came tumbling down in one hour. The disease of religion will be scraped clean from the root of the apostolic foundation. This was a sign of our times when God is going to judge the entire Babylonian system, with this last empire of the beast being infinitely more fierce than the earlier ones represented by gold, silver and bronze.
“And the fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all (Revelation 18:14).” And so the Olympic medals of man’s accomplishments shall disappear on the threshing floor as the winnowing process begins.
“The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, and saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls! For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.’ And every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like this great city?’ (Revelation 18:15-18).”
O, Canada, you foolish nation, which thinks more of the Olympic medals than of the Word of God, which brings truth to our children – wake up! The medals shall perish like the towers, only to become ash in the burning, but God’s truth will keep marching, marching and marching on, when the music of this day is long forgotten.
We may be singing misplaced hallelujahs to the wrong gods today, but tomorrow those who know the truth will be singing Hallelujah to the King of kings and Lord of lords, when He takes His rightful place, having dominion from sea to sea!
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne (Revelation 12:5 KJV). Of such is the reward of the good gold medal for the perfect skate of the bride.
