Fundamentalism and Radicalism

Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

The dictionary explains the word fundamental to mean ‘serving as an origin’, as ‘a basic supporting existence’ and as ‘a determining essential structure or function’. Two other meanings given for this word are ‘of central importance’ and the word ‘radical’. Synonyms for the word fundamental are – basic, elemental, essential, rudimentary and underlying.

One can see, from the meaning of the word, the importance of getting back to fundamentals or basics, concerning any discipline. The fundamentals of a system of applied thought form the foundation for such a system.

Fundamentalism is then defined as a movement or attitude stressing strict adherence to a set of basic principles. Within the realm of Christian religion this word was first attached to the Protestant movement emphasizing the literal infallibility of the Bible with Protestantism forging the truth for its foundation as opposed to accepting a foundation made up of the religious dogma, which came out of Rome. There is also a secular understanding of the word fundamentalism, with the word first appearing in the 20th century, to then find its way into the Oxford dictionary in 1950 with the derivative word fundamentalist being added only in the 1989 second edition.

History divides around the concept of fundamentalism beginning around 2000 years B.C. when Abraham was called into separation to God, after having been separated from his kinfolk to allow God to lead him to a land called the Promised Land, intended as an inheritance for his descendants.

Prior to Abraham’s time, a form of fundamentalism took root in the Garden. Adam and Eve were given the origin and basic support structure for life and death, with the fundamental rules being put in place by the God of truth, dependant upon the choice made by Adam and Eve to sustain life throughout eternity. The fundamentalism of truth was the supporting structure of life with liberalism and religion taking root in the lie to become the destroyers and authors of death for mankind.

Sin resulted from man exerting his free will to rebel against the rule of God Who allowed him to determine his own course regarding the matter of life and death. Mankind has forever blamed God for giving him this choice, because he has no understanding of God’s purposes in doing so.

So, therefore, God introduced to man a plan for redemption from his captivity to death, whereby God, Himself, would take the judgment for all men’s sins, liberating them from their sentence of death. However, if men should refuse such a gift by rejecting this second opportunity for eternal life, then there will be no other opportunity for a way back to spend eternity with Him, but rather they will be returned to the dust from which He took them. The Way of redemption, leading to the kingdom, is through Jesus and the cross.

Beginning with the recorded history of Adam and Eve, on through Noah to Abraham, moving forward to the present day, man finally is able to understand the full picture of the seven millennia of history from the fundamental truths and opened understanding of prophecy of the written Word.

Truth is the only way back to the restoration of life lost in the Garden to be found again in the coming kingdom of God, which will be returned to earth. This is the basic fundamentalism at the very root of life found in no other book than that of the Bible. He is Jesus Christ, Himself, Who will reveal this understanding sealed to Daniel so that it might be revealed only at this time in history.

Throughout the history of Abraham’s family and of the nation of Israel, all of the other nations of the world have been on the broad road leading to death because of original sin, with the fundamentalism of liberalism producing apartness from God. The clash between the spirit of Satan, who appeals to the lust of the flesh, and the Spirit of God, Who desires to give restoration to man, is one of spiritual warfare, which rages over the souls of men.

When the battle manifested itself among the nations, Israel became the target of all the other empire-building nations, for her God will not share His glory with the gods of the nations of this world. Her God of truth hates religion, and Satan, the author of religion, hates the truth.

History again divides around Jesus Who came to this earth to divide and separate all mankind at the cross. He draws those to Himself, who will accept with gratitude the judgment He took for our sin in our place and will trust on Him for salvation. His new covenant with man is one that leads to the kingdom of heaven here on earth, which will fulfill the promise of God to Abraham. But, as was always the case, the nation of Israel rebelled against Jesus, only to lose her precious Land, as was the Garden lost to Adam and Eve before her in the same form of rebellion.

Jesus introduced into the world a radical move of fundamentalism. When we pray the Lord’s Prayer, we pray for God’s kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus it is defined as a New World Order, which He, and He alone, will usher in. Only He will be God’s representative on earth as the King of kings and Lord of lords, with one Law, which is the Law of God. Jesus states clearly that He is the Way, and there is no other way to the New World Order of the kingdom.

Satan, the counterfeiter of this fundamental truth, has set up his Babylonian system of rule by might and the sword. He will put the Antichrist in the role of leadership by deception and the help of demonic spirits with the purpose of usurping Christ and His coming New World Order of the future. The devil will make a radical move of religious fundamentalism, which comes in many forms including Atheism, Communism, Nazism, Islam and even Christianity with its roots going back to Rome, one of the empires of the Babylonian system.

The more religiously-based the fundamentalism, the more radical and dangerous it becomes. A One World Order under Satan has been his aim from the day he took over ruler-ship of the world in the rebellion of the Garden against God. As opposed to conquest by the sword and by might, the spiritual battle is fought by the Lord in the fundamentalism of the truth of His Word, given in the spirit of prophecy, which is sharper than a double-edged sword. It is the most powerful weapon on this planet, for God becomes the partner of His witnesses to the truth. Well did David understand this before going into battle with the giant called Goliath. The devil is forced to slither back into the darkness from the threat of having to do battle with the Light. However, the religious pose no threat to him.

The present-day, world-wide, political scene is a mere extension of the battle between David and Goliath with the apostolic church becoming like the stones of David being employed by the Lord to challenge the modern-day giant called the Antichrist. With Jesus partnering His bride of the church, what is there to fear?

We are in a war, today, of opposing forms of radical fundamentalism – that of the Christ versus that of the Antichrist, which means that the name of Christ will be hated by the nations of the world ruled by religion. The religious fundamentalists will hate the torch-bearers of light and the witnesses to the truth. The calling of the torch-bearers of the light began with Abraham, to be passed on as the calling of the nation, Israel, which crossed over with Jesus to become the calling of the spiritual nation and the true apostolic church.

Satan’s insatiability for the death of these witnesses will not stop until the light of God’s torch is extinguished and all men worship only him, who calls himself the angel of light, the symbol of which is his counterfeit Olympic torch. He worked his way into the church through Rome, linking a false religious system that belonged to Babylon with the true church. The fledgling church was taken into captivity to the Babylonian system with one high priest over all – the pagan priest of Rome who became the first pope of the Babylonian new religion on the block, called Christianity.

We have come to the point in history when there is going to be a radical change to the social order of things. Radical is used here to denote a progressive acceptance of extreme ideology. These two radical movements will finally erupt in the battle of Armageddon. Satan is now making his move but so is Jesus getting ready to make His. He is going to separate and purify His true church of all religion so that she will stand only on a foundation of the fundamental truth of the Bible, the Word of God and the only truth this world will ever know.

Satan will have his One World Order for a brief hour, but then, like the four arms of the Olympic flame, it will all come tumbling down before the power of the risen Christ and His separated church. She will be able to shut up the heavens so no rain falls, take power over the waters to turn them to blood and to strike the earth with all plagues as often as she desires while fire proceeds from her mouth in judgment as she prophesies (see Revelation 11:5-7).

This will be one of the most radical moves in the entire history of the world, whereby liberalism will be driven to the wall and finally to its complete destruction along with its author, Satan. There is only one winner in this battle and she is the bride who will die for the cause of bringing peace in her time. While the Olympic torch disappears into the ground, she shall rise like a pillar shooting up from her apostolic foundation of truth, smooth like a smooth stone, unlike the worked totem poles of religion.

Fundamentalism and radicalism can be either good or bad things, depending on the master they serve. When they are the fundamentalism and radicalism of Jesus, they are good things, for they lead to eternal life. When one serves the fundamentalism and radical liberalism of Satan, they are bad things, which lead to death.

Jesus came to earth to define the kind of separation unto God, which God wanted from His people Israel. The church of Jesus Christ was formed to become this spiritually separated people. Without the teaching of Jesus and the washing of the Word, it is impossible to be in the Davidic priest/king line, for His is an army of people of regal inheritance, rooted in the strong fundamentalism of truth, fighting a battle of a radical nature.

The end of it all has been known from the beginning when God first said, “Let there be light.” There will be light and the Light will rule with His lesser lights surrounding Him as the stars rule in the night by the reflected light of the Sun.
