Why Job?

Why Job? The book of Job provides the answer for changing the default system from death back to life. When God created the heavens and the earth, the default had been set to darkness on the face of the deep. There was only one way to change that, and it was with light, which dispelled the darkness. Light causes darkness to dissipate. In other words, Satan runs away before Jesus, who is the Light of the world.
There are no two ways about it – Jesus is the Light, the Truth, the Way, the Word made flesh and the very essence of the Good Shepherd and Protector of His flock. He will protect His own from Satan with the truth of His Word, which is more powerful and sharper than a two-edged sword, as it cuts through the deceptive lies of Satan.
The devil accused God of using His protection to keep Job’s heart in line with His own heart. God offered up to Satan, His servant Job, a man who believed God and shunned evil. Knowing the heart of His servant, God allowed Satan to take up the challenge to win over the soul of Job. God knew that the heart of Job beat like the heart of David, a man after God’s own heart, who was up to the challenges, which evil could present.
If truth is the sword, and the Bible is truth, then the only way to victory for Satan is to remove the Bible from man. The Bible is the guide-book of God, which keeps the default in the ‘on position’ of light, from beginning to end, where, at both ends, there is no darkness, only light. Satan’s approach in his attempt to change the default is to confront man with the lies of religion coupled with an appeal to man’s pride and to the lures of the flesh.
The default setting of light was changed back to darkness at creation with the sin of man’s rebellion to the truth of God. This brought about a change of world government, with man no longer ruled by God and truth, but rather taken over by the devil with the lies of a belief system, called religion, which always results in liberalism as the process of separation from God. The lure is directed at the pride of self, with an appeal to man to be his own god.
The great sadness of the religious world is the fact that it has trusted in Satan’s lies, he, being nothing but a destroyer who has no ability to create. He produces a counterfeit of the truth. He sets the death trap with the lies of evolution, suggesting man is mere happenstance. This lays the foundation for the big lie that neither God nor Satan exists, and that what you see is all there is. And in this way, man is deceived about the spiritual battle, which rages over his soul.
Job, who had all the forces of religion come against him, was wise enough not to deny the existence of God, for Satan’s strength is in the non-believing heart, which he can then influence toward evil. His message is always a convoluted one with bits of truth mixed together with religion to confuse, humiliate, mock and blame, until his target is destroyed by confusion. God’s antidote is Jesus, whom the Antichrist hates, for he must flee before Him or be shredded by His two-edged sword of truth, which brought Elihu (God is he) into the heart of the book of Job.
God sent His Son to bring truth back into a world devoured by religion. Who hated Him more than the religious leaders who were in control over Israel, God’s chosen people? The Israelites listened to their religious leaders as though they were friends with advice and understanding to be heeded by the people. They believed them and trusted in them, but Jesus knew better about the traditions and religious practices of these men, called Pharisees.
He knew they belonged to their father, the devil, the very author of religion, himself. Jesus openly claimed it for the world to hear and know that they were the disseminators of evil among His people. How they hated Him who could see and cut through their deception with His two-edged sword of truth! Just as Satan desired to get rid of this Elihu, who was upsetting his religious, antichrist apple-cart, the religious Pharisees also had but one desire, which was to see this Man die, who claimed to be the Son of their God of Israel.
But, wait a minute! Can we blame them? Were these religious leaders not entrusted with the Scriptures of God, written by the holy prophets, under the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit? Most definitely they were, but, like their Hebrew fathers, these were the very same nation of people who loved the gentile religions and gods more than they loved their own God, and so they put those annoying prophets of God to death. This had opened wide the door for Satan to enter into the nation, which had been set free of religion to be ruled in liberty under God’s Law, to make it just another one of his religious nations of the world again.
Strange, but this sounds very similar to God’s land of liberty called America, which is ruled by Him, and now full of religious people called Christians, just like Israel became full of adherents to the religion of Judaism. We have our own Christian Pharisees, who are the religious leaders like Rick Warren, who claim to be the custodians of the Scriptures, but, in fact, want crosses removed from the church, which point, of course, to the exclusive way of Jesus for salvation.
Would Jesus not point to these Christian religious leaders like He pointed to the Pharisees and accuse them of being children of the devil? Are our Christian Pharisees today not endorsing the sodomy for which Sodom was destroyed by fire, and are they not forcing the religious book of the Koran to be placed on equal footing with the Holy Bible of God in their religious institutions?
Whoa – stop a moment! Where are the Jobs within this religious system? The truth is they are making their exit from it, as I write, and as quickly as they can, in order to come into closer relation-ship with the God of creation. He is opening the scrolls of understanding to them so they can see with whom they truly are in relation-ship. He is the incredibly great Creator who was well established in His awesome greatness and holiness long before the Jobs of this world were ever created.
God sealed the understanding of King Nebuchadnezzar’s political dream to the prophet Daniel, suggesting to him that more understanding would be revealed to another standing on the other side of the Euphrates, in the last empire of the Babylonian system, instead of in the first one with Daniel. Only Jesus (Elihu) can open the understanding previously not known about the spiritual waters of the rivers of the empires, which permeate all of history. By understanding the spiritual significance of these rivers, it then makes sense as to why bad things happen to good people. It makes sense as to why men fight wars and have no peace in a world ruled by Satan’s religious empires of nations.
John the Baptist’s baptism only makes sense when we understand it as being a sign of a spiritual baptism to come from God, which negates its religious power to save anyone. It then also makes sense that a thief on the cross was more likely to meet in paradise with Jesus than the religious leaders ever were. One can understand why man has spent centuries in traditional religious institutions, yet, is no closer to the truth today than he was thousands of years ago, even after centuries of meditation and other religious practices.
God makes it so simple, yet man allows himself to be confused and deceived by the author of deception, called Satan, rather than believe the truth and His Word. Most men will spend hours reading the words of other men, even the super intelligent ones, like Mark Steyn, but these men, with all their smarts, will bring man no closer to true liberty without the understanding, which only the opened scrolls of Jesus can bring.
As John the apostle said, in response to the loud voice of a strong angel who asked who was worthy to open the scroll and loose its seals, there was no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth who was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. So John wept much for no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it (see Revelation 5:3-4). But John was assured that, yes, Virginia, there really is an Elihu for every Job, so do not weep, for He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Root of David. He sits on the throne of heaven and His name is Jesus, the One who has redeemed the Jobs of this world to God to become His kings and priests who will rule on earth with Jesus (see Revelation 5:5-10).
Make no mistake about the three friends of Job, representing the religious priesthoods, supposedly of God, throughout history! They have had their day of religious apostasy as the spiritual advisors of Satan who ruled over this earth; but they will never rule in the kingdom on earth where there shall be no Gihon, Hiddekel or Euphrates Rivers of religious Empire waters. There will only be the River of Life, which flows from the throne of God and the Lamb with water as clear as crystal. And there shall be sea no more and there shall be no night there, for the Lord gives them light and they shall reign forever and ever. Amen (see Revelation 22:1-5).
Is it not the greatest sadness that Adam, the Pharisees and the Christian priesthood, all of whom were given the truth by the Lord, could have escaped the coming night, which will see the judgment fall and bring to an end Babylon the Great, the mighty, religious systems of Satan? But they refused to accept the truth about religion and its detrimental role in connection with salvation – so this is why Job.
