A Stumbling Stone and a Rock of Offense

Truth leads unto life. “I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).” Jesus is the truth. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). The Bible is truth. “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this (John 11:25-26)?” The Bible leads the way to life.
This is the message of truth and life, which can be delivered by only Jesus. No other man who has ever lived can lay claim to being the way to life in truth. The converse is that the lies of Satan lead to man’s rebellion against the truth by establishing a belief system known as religion. Religion, in turn, leads to liberalism or false beliefs and the establishment of doctrines, which lead man away from the Lord God and His truth. So, what should man do with books of religion, if not burn them? They lead mankind into rebellion and ultimately will cause man to be burned in the fire judgment at death.
For wickedness burns as the fire; it shall devour the briers and thorns, and kindle in the thickets of the forest; they shall mount up like rising smoke. Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts the land is burned up, and the people shall be as fuel for the fire; no man shall spare his brother (Isaiah 9:18-19).
The rebellion of religion produces the seeds of wickedness, and it sets man apart from God in the camp, which leads to death by burning. The one in religion is a fool and does not know his spiritual condition, which is producing in him a fatal disease. But the man who believes on Jesus has Him as his sanctuary (see Isaiah 8:14), and his resurrection through the work He did on the cross.
This is at the very heart of why the entire world wanted to come to America in its desire to escape religious controls. It became a sanctuary from religion for those who believed on the truth of Jesus and prospered under God’s rule, the one true God who wants to bless His people with life and fruitfulness.
But the blessing is found in His Son, Jesus, who is a stumbling stone and a rock of offense to the religious world, which has none of the spiritual benefits that come with faith in Him (see 1 Peter 2:8). And so, at the heart of today’s hatred for America is this stone of stumbling and rock of offense called Jesus. What is the method used by America’s enemies to get rid of this rock of offense? Our liberal leaders from within the nation, who are bent on returning it back to becoming just another one of the religious nations of the world as a participant in the U.N., must, therefore, pass laws to declare Jesus’ name an offense to the cults. The only way to describe these laws is as laws, which establish tolerance for all religions, but not for the name of Jesus.
The believers founded America for their descendants and for immigrants, who would accept the authority of God and His Son over this nation by constitutions set in place to protect us from religion. We were to become the beneficiaries of God’s laws of liberty, by protecting our borders with the Bible of truth. Instead, we now find ourselves becoming the victims of laws of offense instead of laws of liberty.
We are told that we must not use the name of Jesus because it is an offense to the cults bombarding our shores. Those who accept Him are mocked by the liberals within the U.N. and its religious/state representatives. Of course, He then becomes that terrible rock of offense, which is intolerable to the religious mind set. They hate the witnesses who witness to the truth as a church, standing on the fundamental foundation of the truth, the way and the life of Jesus, and on no religion at all.
So, why in the world would we want them to rule over us with their stringent controls, when our ancestors escaped such controls, in order to set up a land of liberty, where we could live in freedom from religion, under God and His Son, Jesus Christ? Why would Obama think he can be the messiah of America by taking us back into the captivity of religion when we already have the Messiah, Jesus, who has set us free? Obama will lead this nation straight into the arms and the controls of the U.N. and away from our sovereign state under God.
Under our new multi-cultic religious regime, we are told we must remove Christ from Christmas. And who are they who tell us this, if not the religious cults in cahoots with the corrupt leaders of liberalism? Again, that child in the manger is a terrible offense to the apostasy of the religious world, and the church is still in captivity to the Babylonian system through the Romanism, which established Christianity. It has become schizophrenic in nature by coming in the name of Christ, yet having roots in a foundation of religion found in the spiritual, empirical waters of Satan, as described in the second chapter of Genesis.
The entire religious system of Christianity is about to self-destruct in its desire not to offend, but rather respect, other religions to the point of removing the name of Jesus and the cross from the public square. This is only the beginning of a movement within Christianity, which is leading to an ecumenical god of all religions, within a One World Order of religion, the U.R. (United Religion) of the U.N. Apostasy can then reign from a base of Political Correctness, which calls America to not offend the rest of the world with the truth of God.
How does Satan ensure that Political Correctness will make over America? He will saturate her with multiculturalism. All that is necessary is a Laodicean church, which voices no objection to the cults dismantling our laws under God, in order to set up their own laws. But the sadness is that their laws are based on killing, while our law is based on the value of the individual life. Theirs are laws of genocide, whereby only one religion is tolerated and the truth must be eradicated, if it means killing an entire nation of people to obtain their objectives.
Are we not the fools who allow Islamic law to be incorporated into the laws of our land, being in direct opposition to all that our laws stand for? Take a look at our schools, today! Have we not already allowed laws to be set in place, which forbid the Bible from being taught to our children while, at the same time, allowing daggers, meant for killing, to be worn to school by children, in order to accommodate the killing religions? The truth leading to life must be done away with, while the daggers leading to death are deemed to be of no offense. Why is this happening? It is because there is no voice of outrage coming from the nice, non-offensive voice of the institutional church.
It is an offense to me that the church of Christianity has not objected to such garbage in our nation. But then, it is understandable because it is in religious bondage, which has stifled the voice of the true church, only to replace it with a social gospel of ecumenicity under such revered leaders as Billy Graham and Robert Schuller, to mention but a few. The false church is a huge offense to me as it deceives the believers every bit as much as our governments are deceiving them. But then, our governments are generally made up of Christians who are bringing in the very laws that will appease the offense of Jesus for the cults, which are pouring into this land and will ultimately destroy it.
Get your heads screwed on straight, America! The laws endorsing offenses are leading you straight down the road to destruction. They certainly will not lead to the Garden path or the Way. Jesus has become the stone the builders of America would never have dreamed could be rejected. He has become her stumbling stone and her rock of offense.
Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense (1 Peter 2:7-8).”
Remember that whoever keeps the whole law, yet stumbles in one point is guilty of all (see James 2:10)! Any failure in keeping the law causes God to give an ‘F’ for even a 99% success rating. Without Jesus, we have an ‘F’ rating as a nation. He is not only a rock of offense to the cults, but He is also the Rock of our salvation, which our Founding Fathers laid as our chief Cornerstone for the nation.
So, if He offends the cults, then my suggestion is that they go back to their lands of religion where they belong; for He is the Rock of America’s salvation, and only the fools will give Him up. Let us never forget this, and in so doing, refuse to re-elect a leader who refuses to pray to and recognize the goodness of God on Thanksgiving Day, or who, in any way, is trying to remove the cornerstone of our nation, to set himself up as the messiah in His place!
Let us consider seriously, in this election year, whether or not we are going to elect men of religion or men of truth who will keep the stone of stumbling and rock of offense at the heart of our nation! We are a free nation under Jesus Christ, not a religious nation under a pope, an imam or any other religious leader of the world. Our foundation is truth. Let us keep this nation on its proper foundation, which will withstand the gathering storm clouds and the coming battle between good and evil for ruler-ship of the world!
