The Two Wings of a Great Eagle

January 24, 2012

Do we really understand the nature of the problem, which the world is facing in Iran, concerning the history behind her that brings us to this point in time? Do we need to fear Ahmadinejad or is he all bluster and pomposity? Just as Israel needed to fear Nebuchadnezzar on the other side of the Babylonian Empire, she needs to fear his counterpart on this side of the Babylonian Empire. That which marked the beginning of her captivity in Babylon nearly 600 years B.C. has reached its climax, with the time of the fullness of the gentiles, when the last and greatest empire battle of all is about to begin.

The Chaldeans were a tribal people who had their origins in Suza, Iran (reference: Contributions of Persia to the World Civilization by Professor M.S Tajar, University of the Philippines, March, 2004). The eastern power of the early part of the first millennium B.C. was the Assyrian Empire, and it was a fierce, power-house of terror, indeed. Yet, the Chaldeans waged constant guerilla warfare against them.

About 720 B.C., a Chaldean ruler gained control of the city of Babylon and the Chaldeans became a term synonymous with the Babylonian people. Assyria put down the first ruler, but a century later another Chaldean, Nabopolassar, father of Nebuchadnezzar, took over the throne in Babylon. With this take-over, the Neo-Babylonian Empire was launched and, to this day, the world is reeling under its ugly head, which is about to rise up again.

The Babylonian System of empires, as given in a vision by God to Nebuchadnezzar, was also described by the prophet, Daniel, who was given the understanding of the king’s dream statue of empires, which would end by coming against the Rock to be destroyed. First, the Titanic came against a rock of ice (iceberg) that tore her apart, and now the Italian liner, the Costa Concordia, has come against the rock of stone, which tipped her over into the sea, leaving her in a state, which is no longer salvageable.

The final Revived Roman Empire, of the Babylonian system, was revealed to Daniel as an iron empire mixed with the clay of many cultures, which would ultimately fill the entire world. Surely, the tilting of the European Union (the association of states originally formed by the Treaty of Rome), as part of the rising Revived Roman Empire, is taking place right now in Europe, where her economy is hitting the Rock by the design of God.

Will the little man called Ahmadinejad, of Chaldean, fierce, tribal background historically, not flex his muscle according to the dictates of history, to challenge the ruler-ship of the rising Revived Roman Empire, which will bring Babylon alive again, before the Rock strikes it? When, and if, he acquires nuclear weapons, we must remember that we are looking at the same warring people who invaded Israel at the other end of the empire, when it was just beginning in Daniel’s day. What do we think he will do today, if not invade her again?

Just as the Chaldeans challenged the powerhouse of Assyria all those many centuries ago, will she not also go after the power-house of the E.U.? Is the writing not on the wall, exactly as it was written on the wall for the Chaldean ruler who followed in Nebuchadnezzar’s footsteps? It was a time then, when the sacred vessels of the temple were defiled by the king of Babylon, just as you might say the Temple Mount is a defiled piece of property today by the Muslims, with Islam being the religion of the entire area including Iraq, Iran and Syria, not to mention the continent of Africa.

What applied to the king then will apply to the would-be-king today, in accordance with the writing on the wall in the book of Daniel. The only power, which Ahmadinejad has, is that which has been given to him by God and not by the false god Allah. He follows in the footsteps of King Belshazzar of long ago, and so people, nations and languages tremble before him. God sets up nations and takes them down as the Rock, which they come against, Jesus the Christ, will destroy the nations of the Antichrist.

But pride has always been the problem with the hearts of the kings of Babylon, beginning with Nebuchadnezzar and ending with Ahmadinejad, the would-be king of the world. Nebuchadnezzar, while surveying his palace, asked the question as to whether or not Babylon had not been built by his mighty power for his royal dwelling place and for the honor of his majesty. Belshazzar had to face the music when it followed, after the writing on the wall by the finger of God, that he would be deposed from his throne and his power taken away. He had lifted himself up against the Lord of heaven.

Ahmadinejad has walked onto American soil and defiled it with his religious idols and god he calls Allah, before the very God who holds his breath in His hand and owns all his ways, whom he dares to not glorify in this great country under God. The same finger of God, which wrote the Law for Israel and America, wrote on the Babylonian palace wall:
Mene – God has numbered the Babylonian Empire and has finished it.
Tekel – it has been weighed or judged in the balance and found wanting.
Peres – the kingdom of Babylon has been divided, and given to another.
Upharsin is another word for divided and the plural of Peres. Islam is surely a divided kingdom, as will be the entire One World Order to come, and it will all surely fall (see Daniel, chapter 5).

Of course, at some point, the Antichrist and ruler of the coming One World Order will give the order to kill this man, Ahmadinejad, and get him out of the way of his world ruler-ship. It will lead to the rise of the witnesses sealed for the Lord, who will only witness to His truth and refuse to take the mark of the beast, which is the number of man’s religion, economic trading and governments of the empires, 666. They, like Daniel and his three friends, will never bow down to the golden statue of the beast. They will surely be plunged into the fiery furnace of God’s judgment on evil, but the good news is they will see their resurrection day, as they come out of the fire unscathed because they have walked through it with Jesus.

Though they kill the prophet, what the world will see are the two wings of a great eagle, which will come down and swoop up the resurrected prophets who have been lying dead in the streets for three days. The world will be witness to a rapture of God’s people, which will plunge a sword through the heart of the beast as he reels in the knowledge that his number is nearly up (see Revelation 11:7-12). That great ship, which lies tilted in the sea, is about to go down. All the wheels are in motion, and it is merely a matter of watching as the events unravel, exactly as the Bible tells us they will.

America may think she is choosing a president, but the truth of the matter is that God is giving her exactly the government and leader she deserves at this time. Repent and turn back to Him, so that this people, who were brought to this land to tame a wilderness, may be given the two wings of a great eagle and be nourished for a time, times and half a time. This will be a three and one half year period of terrible judgment about to come on the entire religious/empire system, which has held the world captive to the devil, since the fall of man in the Garden (see Revelation 12:14).

“Look among the nations and watch – be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you. For indeed I am raising up the Chaldeans, a bitter and hasty nation which marches through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs. They are terrible and dreadful; their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves. Their horses also are swifter than leopards, and more fierce than evening wolves. Their chargers charge ahead; their cavalry comes from afar; they fly as the eagle that hastens to eat.

They all come for violence; their faces are set like the east wind. They gather captives like sand. They scoff at kings, and princes are scorned by them. They deride every stronghold, for they heap up mounds of earth and seize it.  Then his mind changes, and he transgresses; he commits offense, imputing this power to his god.”

Are You not from everlasting, O Lord my God, my Holy One? We shall not die. O Lord, You have appointed them for judgment; O Rock, You have marked them for correction.  You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look on wickedness (Habakkuk 1:5-13).
