And, what have you learned in the aftermath of this storm called the ‘Frankenstorm’? Was Storm Sandy not truly a ‘sandy’ storm as the sand of the sea was moved from its place up onto the land and into the towns, bringing destruction with it? Did the Lord God not just throw the covenant He made with Abraham right into the face of America?
Look at the obedience of Abraham to the point he was ready to kill and sacrifice his own son in order to obey the commandment of God! The most precious things of this world could not have been more valuable to him than this precious boy of the inheritance of his old age. Yet, Abraham would do whatever it would take to pass the faith test of God.
You can imagine the disparaging remarks the society of his day would have made about him with respect to his being a Bible-thumper by today’s standards and one of those of the religious right, which he most definitely was not, for he had left the religion of his father’s house in obedience to the voice of God, the voice of truth and the one voice the religious world cannot hear and does not want to hear. He would probably have been brought up on charges of child abuse, according to the United Nations’ standards, along with charges of attempted murder.
Yet, God had this to say about Abraham’s faithfulness in carrying out God’s instructions to him, “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son, in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies (Genesis 22:16-17).”
Now, let us skip over to the book of Mark!
On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him (Mark 4:35-36).
We are talking about the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee here, which is prophetic of the Atlantic seaboard of America. When the first settlers came over, Jesus was very much with them in spirit in their boats, while crossing the Atlantic, as He was with His disciples in person, on the Sea of Galilee. He was bringing those who wanted to worship Him in truth, free of the multitude of religions, to the eastern shores of America, leaving religion behind. Multiculturalism was definitely not in their boats. Others came as well, but they would come under the banner of Jesus’ name and swear on the Bible to pledge allegiance to God and their new country. Otherwise, they were not allowed to be citizens of a nation ruled by God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing (Mark 4:37-38)?”
Is this not just like Americans today? We have relegated Jesus to the stern of the boat, which He guided to bring us here. Then we put Him to sleep, saying, “No further use of, or praying in, His name.” In fact, it has been forbidden to use the Bible to teach our children God’s Word of truth. A storm has arisen and its waves have been felt as they beat against the eastern shores of America; and we cry out, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”.
In other words, our Teacher has been sleeping while the sheep have been playing, but, at the same time, we want the Teacher, whom we have rejected, to wake up now and take care of this situation by looking after us, the same naughty sheep who have caused the storm. The question is always asked, as to where God is that He would allow such bad things to happen to good people. Well, the bad things happen to the naughty sheep, which have not even wanted the Teacher and Shepherd to be in the boat with them to protect them.
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith (Mark 4:39-40)?”
Well, you fools, if you put the Teacher to sleep and prevent Him from teaching the children, how are they supposed to strengthen themselves and their nation against its enemies? How can you be numbered as the sands of the seashore of Abraham’s blessing, which will allow the nation to possess the gates of its enemies? We have been steadily shifting the shoreline to allow the enemy to possess our gates. We have asked Jesus to get out of our boat altogether to the point we have aroused the wrath of God, who rules over every move of the sea.
And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him (Mark 4:41)!”
Oh, that America would wake up to the knowledge of who He is, who has just unleashed His wrath upon her and thrown those sands, holding the promise of Abraham, right in her face as she gets ready to worship the devil in God’s land on Halloween. If Governor Chris Christie had not been such a fool by cozying up to the President of fools while, at the same time, reinstating Halloween instead of turning the people back to God, his state might not have been hit as hard as it was.
America has become a ship of fools who are choosing to face the coming storms without Jesus in their boat. It is much worse than His merely sleeping; we have thrown Him out and brought in spiritually dirty water with the cults, and He will not share His throne with any of their gods.
We have most certainly awakened Him, along with His wrath. There is not one bit of this “sandy” storm that we do not deserve. Repent and think carefully before you vote, lest you receive what you ask for. If they are more storms you want, then they are just waiting to come your way. You have been warned about the floods, the fires and the earthquakes. Surely, you have not forgotten the state of Japan and, now, of a flooded America. Brace yourselves for what lies ahead, for a stubborn and stiff-necked people of America, whose mantra has become “No God!”
