Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

What have we done with the Bible? Is it sitting on a shelf collecting dust, or is it bedside and dustless? You who call yourselves Christians – to which of the above conditions has your religious system led you? If your Bible is collecting dust, assuming that you have one, is there not a disconnect between your Christianity and God? If it is dustless and you have no understanding of its prophetic testimony, is there still not a disconnect between you and your God?
The testimony of Jesus is given in the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10), with the Lord God being the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, knowing the end from the beginning. He gave us Genesis as a book of beginnings in prophecy, which corresponds perfectly to the book of Revelation, a revelation of Jesus Christ, given only to one apostle, sealed and left to be opened at a later time by another, to whom full understanding will be given in that day. Then the sky will recede like a scroll being rolled up for good when the great day of God’s wrath has come.
If you have not unrolled this scroll called the Bible and studied it to gain understanding so you will be able to stand in that day, then it will soon be too late to do so. Like Adam and Eve, in that day, you will try to hide yourself in shame from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb (see Revelation 6:14-17). For did the Lamb not come by the grace of God in unfathomable love for mankind, only to suffer excruciating pain on a cross, giving His life that you and I might live?
Is your gratitude to Him, the kind of gratitude you would have liked to receive, had you been on that cross where He was nailed, receiving the kind of pain and judgment due to you and me and not due to Him who was perfect in every way? Just how angry would you be if you had been He, to hear all the ones you died for in such pain taking your name in vain, swearing and using foul language as they mocked you and all who have trusted in you and honored you?
If you had been He and had left behind a guide book for man’s benefit that he might know you and your heavenly Father in order to have life with Him, but, instead, ignored it, demanding it not be given to the children to read, how would you feel? If they had spit in your face and had burned the book so that God’s enemy, the devil, might not be offended, would you be angry? Now, I ask you, “Would you not feel at odds with your fellow man? When the whole world, which you tried to save, turns away from you, would you possibly respond with the words, ‘To hell with them!’, which is exactly what He will say?”
This means that it will be back to the dust for you and to the darkness from which He, the Light of the World, took you. He breathed life into you so that you could see, gain understanding and receive enormous enjoyment, through all your senses, from the beauty of God’s creation and from the love He desired to lavish upon us all, so that we might have been the fruitful partners of creation, which He wanted us to be.
He wanted a family and a house of God from mankind. His Son does not want a harlot for a bride in His marriage bed. He does not want men in His federal state called the kingdom who prefer to wallow in the dust with Satan, to living in the beauty of God’s creation with Him. He does not want their mockery, their boorish behavior, their sarcasm or their cynicism; He wants a pure, honest, beautiful bride whom He can proudly take to the Father as the kind of fruitful partner God intended for His Son.
Before it is too late, pick up that Bible and begin to read, begging the Spirit of God to guide you toward understanding. Every Word is prophetic and given in the spirit of prophecy, so that you are able to read tomorrow’s headline-news today, and be prepared for that dreadful day about to come upon the entire world. The Word offers perfect protection from the evil one called Satan. Do not think that he does not know the Word or that he does not believe in the salvation of the Christ, whom he knows all too well. He simply opposes Him in rebellion to God and wants nothing more than to take you down in that same rebellion in which you will mock Him, spit on Him and strike at His body in order to elevate yourself in the kingdom of this world. In so doing, you will never be elevated in God’s kingdom.
Consider the dust resting on top of your Bible. You can take away the sting of death by blowing it away and beginning to read the words, which give life and understanding. There is no other source for coming out of the state of the dead, caught in the corruption of sin, so that you can be raised as an incorruptible mortal who has put on the robes of immortality.
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed – in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where in your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:51-58).
