Yesterday’s Scriptures are Today’s Headlines

Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out  …from a different perspective

It is difficult for me to imagine how America’s leadership has so quickly walked away from Scripture in a nation, which claims to trust in God, but, at the same time, raises the shout of “No God” for all the world to hear. She is supposed to be His witness to the truth and the light of liberty to the world. Yet, the leadership of her hirelings has denied her His gospels of truth, with the Bible now forbidden literature on the desks of the military and in the classrooms of the nation. Our children are growing up spiritually starved and consequently are being funneled down a roadway leading to crime and to disaster for the nation.

The headlines of today have yesterday’s footprint of the Scriptures written all over them. The Bible is a holy Book of truth, a testimony given in the spirit of prophecy, and it is the only book upon which man can depend for perfect understanding of the political scene and of the dire state of affairs in which the world finds itself ensnared today. On that note, let me remind you there is nothing holy about religious books such as the Koran, which is often referred to as being “holy”, nor is it able to prove itself with prophecy, as does the Bible.

The history of the kings of Israel shows us that as her kings went so went the nation. For example, we can look at Jeroboam, king of the northern state of Israel, to whom God spoke these words through Ahijah the prophet, “Go, tell Jeroboam, ‘Thus says the Lord God of Israel: “Because I exalted you from among the people, and made you ruler over My people Israel, … but you have done more evil than all who were before you, … And He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who sinned and who made Israel sin (see 1 Kings 14:7-16).” God raised up the king, the king caused the nation to sin, God brought disaster on the king and all his household and then judged the nation along with him.

Likewise, God has a Word for America’s president today, the would-be-Messiah who comes with a string of falsified credentials:

“Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed to rob the needy of justice, and to take what is right from the poor of My people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless. What will you do in the day of punishment, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? Without Me they shall bow down among the prisoners, and they shall fall among the slain (Isaiah 10:1-4).”

Now, this could well be translated into today’s political news as a strong, prophetic message concerning the leadership of President Obama:

“Woe to Obama who decrees unrighteous decrees, with Obamacare being one of the major ones along with the decree, which prevents the name of Jesus being used by military chaplains who wish to pray in His name. He writes misfortune for the nation as he breaks with her constitutionality of the law and the rights of a people under God. He robs the needy of justice by padding the courts with liberal judges and levels taxes upon the poor of God’s people in order to keep up his out-of-control spending. Single mothers become the prey because their children are fatherless and a low, moral standard is being perpetrated by inferior, educational programs in a time when the children are being robbed of the security of family life.”

To whom will this ruler and his misguided people turn in the Day of Judgment? There is a promised desolation coming to this land, which will come from afar – from the war-torn nations of the Middle East. God will deny His protection to a people who reject Him. To whom will they run, if not to their father, the devil, who is in the business of killing them? Will they glorify him who would destroy them or will they regret losing the glory of God, which has shone down upon them as His blessed nation?

The picture is not a pretty one. Having chosen the cults and to join with them who worship false gods in multicultural worship, they become prisoners to cultic religions, and will be forced to give up the name of Jesus, so they can bow to their gods. Because of their submission to the devil, they shall fall among the slain, in the wars of the religious empires.

What does the judgment look like, which God will send upon His people who have rebelled against Him?

Therefore the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will send leanness among his fat ones; and under his glory He will kindle a burning like the burning of a fire. So the Light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day. And it will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, both soul and body; and they will be as when a sick man wastes away. Then the rest of the trees of his forest will be so few in number that a child may write them (Isaiah 10:16-19).

This unholy leader, Obama, is leading the American people of God, right down the path to famine, which, hitherto, has been unknown under God’s ruler-ship. Yet the people follow him with the cry for “No God”. If it is “No God” they want, then it will be “No God” they will get. But He has determined that rebellion comes with a shortage of food, along with fires, which He will kindle. Are we not already experiencing them in various places across the entire land of our two nations, which were created to be under Him?

He had blessed Americans with a plentiful supply of wood, but now He will destroy her forest land of the good wood along with the thorns and their briers, which He will consume in one day. The numerous floods are rapidly destroying the crops, along with the glory of the fruitful fields of the nation, with which He had so blessed her, but now will not yield their fruit.

It is not just a famine of the food we eat, but also of the spiritual food, which will cause man to be very sick indeed with a wasting disease that will claim the soul as well as the body. The righteous who remain will be so few in numbers that a child will be able to number the remnant of salvation. For this remnant is made up of the bride, the latter-day apostolic church, which will come out of that mother of religious harlots, and of the abominations of the earth, Babylon the Great.

She is unique in the history of the world, along with the apostles who went before her in martyrdom, spreading the truth to the nations. She will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel for her protection, for she has the armor of God on and is girded in truth, not religion. There will be no leaven in her (see Isaiah 10:20). The final, great exodus from the religion of the Babylonians will at last come to pass, with the Abramic covenant, to bless all the families of the earth, being fulfilled.

The remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty God. For though your people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them will return; the destruction decreed shall overflow with righteousness. For the Lord God of hosts will make a determined end in the midst of all the land (Isaiah 10:21-23).

Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will lop off the bough with terror; those of high stature will be hewn down, and the haughty will be humbled. He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One (Isaiah 10:33-34).

All of these things, which are symbolic, speak of the war of terror making the headlines today as Obama, cowardly, tries to beat the drums of war from the position of one doomed before the judgment of God. The Middle East of yesterday is very little different from the Middle East of today, with spiritual Israel planted in America. Who is it you really want ruling this nation? Is it a false Messiah with a Messiah complex or is it the real Messiah and a mighty God who silences the wicked in the end?

He intersperses those news-making prophecies of Isaiah with a special promise to those who have any understanding and the ears to hear what tomorrow’s headlines will be for this world caught in the turmoil of its own sin and rebellion against God:

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still (Isaiah 10:4).

Why not grasp His hand and forsake the disaster, which God has determined upon His sinful people who know no gratitude and have no understanding?
