God’s Law – A Blessing or A Cursing

Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out  …from a different perspective

During the past 20 years, religious rights groups have pushed strongly for the removal of the Ten Commandments from the American national stage. Because Christians in America generally fall into the category of a religious, spineless group of people, to whom Jesus referred, in the third chapter of Revelation, as being the Laodicean church, the religious rights proponents have generally been quite successful in their cause. The cause is to remove God from the position of having Dominion over Canada and the United States of America. They do not want His Law and they do not want His Word; this means that the Bible must follow suit and go as well.

Let me tell you what God has to say about abandoning His Law for a Charter of Rights and other, man-made, replacement laws. In speaking about the Law, which He had just delivered to Moses, He had this to say:

“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them (Deuteronomy 30:15-20).”

Now, Moses delivered these words to Israel on behalf of God so that she might successfully possess her land as she crossed over into it. Then he went on to say, “The Lord your God Himself crosses over before you; He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them (Deuteronomy 31:3).”

The message came through loud and clear; God would be Israel’s strength against the evil nations in her way and all Israel would have to do would be to dispossess them. In other words, any rear line activity on the part of the Israelites, which might involve signing a peace treaty with the obvious and clearly-stated enemy of the state, could bring disaster upon them. The enemy was delivered to Israel by God so that she could do with it every command, which the Lord her God might command her to do (see Deuteronomy 31:5).

The very same words hold true for America, today. As long as she would remain under His Law in obedience to it, God would be her fortress and her strength. She would have no need of any peace treaty with any nation, and she most definitely would not need any alliance with the United Nations, which does not honor God’s Law. There is no peace to be found in the controls, violence and constant wars among the empire-building religious/states. Unity with them means unity with cursed nations and the loss of God’s mighty fortress and strength, which He provides only for His people.

Obama is clearly bringing a curse upon America by signing a peace agreement with any nation other than Canada, which is also founded on the Law of God. They are as one America in God’s eyes; for they were His people until the so-called church, which had control of the vote, allowed Satan to play havoc with God’s people by embracing the religious-rights mantra.

Let me tell you just a few of the things America will now face, as a cursed nation under God, for rejecting the Law, which He gave to her through the early Pilgrims and Puritans. They came here seeking refuge from the religious persecution of their former states.

“But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country. Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.

The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish.

And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron. The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed.

The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become troublesome to all the kingdoms of the earth. Your carcasses shall be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and no one shall frighten them away.

The Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors, with the scab, and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed. The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart. And you shall grope at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you.

You shall betroth a wife, but another man shall lie with her; you shall build a house, but you shall not dwell in it; you shall plant a vineyard, but shall not gather its grapes. Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, but you shall not eat of it; your donkey shall be violently taken away from before you, and shall not be restored to you; your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you shall have no one to rescue them.

Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall look and fail with longing for them all day long; and there shall be no strength in your hand. A nation whom you have not known shall eat the fruit of your land and the produce of your labor, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually (Deuteronomy 28:15-33).”

Need I continue, for the Word of God goes on to list as many more catastrophes, which will befall the people, as those which have already been listed? This is just the half of it. I would suggest that you read the entire chapter of Deuteronomy, along with the next chapter, if you are able to find your dust-collecting Bibles.

All of the answers for America’s political woes are clearly provided in this Book. But man prefers to trust in his own wisdom, as opposed to trusting in the wisdom of God, the Creator. Hence we elect jack-asses like Obama who deliver to the nation man’s kind of provisions, one of which is called Obamacare. And how is that working for you?

This nation has had King Jesus as ruler, One who, in fact, delivered the only binding peace treaty, which will ever last. It is for those alone who choose His sacrifice as the covenant, sealed in His blood, by which man can restore his relationship with God, with eternal life being the offering, in return, to man from Him.

It has always been disobedience and rejection of His truth, which caused man’s downfall in rebellion, leading to the curse. There is only one way to regain the blessing and it is the peace treaty, which Jesus signed on behalf of man to fulfill the covenant agreement graciously coming to us from a merciful God. Is it not astounding that man does not keep up his end of the agreement by choosing instead to receive the curse of evil, which results in wars, violence and suffering? Then he has the audacity to ask where God is when bad things happen to good people. My question is this; “What is good about these people?”

God blessed man with all things being created good; but man chose to reject the blessing, in order to embrace evil as well. God delivered the Law to show how impossible it would be for His people, Israel, to have any victory, through the Law, over the forces of evil without God going before them to fight their battles. Finally, He offered the peace treaty of Jesus by means of the New Covenant with man, which holds back the wrath of God against man’s evil ways.

But watch out! The One World Order is Satan’s baby, and he is against the Christ, just biding his time until he can bring to an end the keeping of His sacrifice and God’s offering of life for mankind, within a lawless world, where there is no Spirit of life.

“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:27).”

Satan thinks that he can bring closure to the witness of the truth about who the Lord Jesus Christ really is, as the one and only Savior of mankind. There is no other way to eternal life, and the good news is that Satan was defeated for you and me, the day Jesus arose from the dead in victory, and the peace treaty was signed in blood between God and man. He has only been waiting for the fullness of evil to fill the entire world, before His judgment comes down on it in His full wrath.

Jesus is victorious in the final battle, but not everyone will be on His side. Now is the hour of decision, and the time to choose between the cursing and the blessing. The door is soon going to be closed and the dye will be cast. It will not be opened again, to allow man into the kingdom of God, any more than man could gain entry to Noah’s ark, once God sealed the door.
