The Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End

Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out  …from a different perspective

God is known by over one hundred different names. They define the many different characteristics of His nature. Genesis 1:1 begins with the words, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” If the Bible is true, He leaves no wiggle room for evolution to be true also. It then follows that if the Bible is true, all of history is measured by it, with Genesis being the book of beginnings.

The book of Revelation is the book of endings; it can also be described as the revelation of Jesus Christ. John, the revelator, wrote the book of Revelation as he received it from above. He heard a loud voice coming from heaven from Him who sat on the throne, who said, “I am…the Beginning and the End (Revelation 21:6).” So, the final words of the Bible bring it full circle with the beginning to show, in so far as God is the Creator, that He is also present when His creation and history come to a climactic ending.

It can be a huge shock to the system to go from darkness into light, as it would be to go from the warmth and comfort of the mother’s womb into a hostile, worldly environment. From the moment a baby is born, it is in a downward spiral, as if one were in the eye of a hurricane leading to death. Yet, if the God of beginnings brought light forth from the darkness on the face of the deep, cannot the God of the ending also bring forth light into that center of the dark, downward spiral leading to death?

Then He who is on the throne also said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful (Revelation 21:5).” God does not create darkness and death, so from the beginning God was implementing a renewal plan, and here it is: And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son (Revelation 21:6-7).

The inheritance of mankind, from beginning to end, is complete at the cross. There is no other way to the kingdom. Adam and Eve submitted to the lures of Satan, which would henceforth mean that their spiritual well of water was changed from pure to impure, evil, filthy waters, emanating from Satan, himself.

Jesus began His ministry with His victory in the wilderness over the temptations of the devil, meant to entice Him into finding His rewards in this world, so that He could then forego the suffering of the cross. By defeating him, Jesus was able to offer His protective right hand to those who thirst for His fountain of living water more than they desire the spiritually filthy waters of this world, which come with the lures of the devil.

The beginning is the same as the end; as the waters were at creation, so will they be in the end, but only for those who choose the baptism of the changing of the waters in their lives, to come up out of the spiritually filthy waters of this world and into the spiritually pure waters of the coming kingdom. They are the ones who will inherit all things. This simple choice is the foundation for the born-again-of-the-water message, which Jesus gave to Nicodemus (see John 3:3-5).

So what can we conclude is one of the most important biblical messages permeating the Bible, from beginning to end? It is found in the waters – the waters of the Babylonian system of nations going back to Babel, when God divided the religious system into nations, as opposed to the Abramic well water of the Lord God, which is one with the water Jesus has to offer. Abram’s son and grandson of the inheritance met their brides at the well, as did Jesus meet the Samaritan woman (a type of the bride) at the well.

He was Abram in Genesis 12:1-3 who received the Alpha message, the companion message to that of the Omega, promising the blessing of the changing of the baptismal waters, which would go out to all nations. This surely means that a kingdom is coming to earth, in which there will be no spiritual waters of the religious nations left to pollute the kingdom, for all kings shall bow to Jesus, on bended knee. At the cross, the water from heaven flowed again from the side of Jesus. The Spirit of life was once again released into a fallen world.

Imagine the Titanic going down, with you on it, when suddenly a life boat is placed right in front of you. The tragedy is that no one needed to go down that fateful night; all could have been saved. The horror comes when one discovers, too late, that one has trusted one’s life to an incompetent captain and his stewards instead of to God, and now the judgment will fall, and fall it will, as surely as the Titanic went down to the bottom of the sea.

The end is near but has not yet come. The nations of the world must all unite in a One World Order under the antichrist rule in religious waters as muddy and dark as they can get. There is a world-wide baptism coming, which necessitates a coming-out of the religious, spiritual river waters of the empire nations, for they are all going down with the last, iron empire, just like the iron ship called the Titanic fell victim to the seawaters of this world. Don’t be fooled a second time, as the world was when it was said of the Titanic that even God could not sink it. How God mocks our foolish pride! If we think that our successes in this world and our philanthropic goodness count for anything, God says that there is none good, and He is no respecter of persons. Did that night of terror not teach us anything?

One must be born anew of the clear, pure water washing over us, as it originally washed over Adam and Eve in the Garden of creation, surrounding it in purity. Jesus had separated the spiritual, destroying seawaters and the spiritual river waters of the empires from them. They would have been held at bay, had they not chosen to sin. When the flood of destroying waters subsided, what did man do but go right back into them in a unified act of a religious, tower-building program, which is with us to this day. It was there that God divided the tongues of a religiously corrupt people and placed them in separate nations.

How often does Jesus have to repeat the message of the waters, which He gave to the Samaritan woman at the well? Did she not have more sense and understanding of the waters than the entire religious priesthood of today, all put together? There will be no worship of God in religion; it shall be only in spirit and in truth. What does the Pope understand? What does the Archbishop of Canterbury understand? What does Rick Warren understand? If they had any understanding of the waters, they would definitely not be going in the direction of apostasy, as they are going today.

Put the baptismal sprinkling, the dunking and the immersion in the waters, behind you. John the Baptist paved the way, offering only the message of the real changing of the spiritual waters to come, which only Jesus could bring about, something John could never do. Malachi said it as clearly as it could be said – “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse (Malachi 4:5-6).”

Elijah always preached purity and no fence-sitting to Israel. You can’t have it both ways; purity and impurity cannot go together, so get rid of the impurity and those religious idols! Today, the Spirit and the bride make the last call, a marching call from right here in River City where the King is waiting to do a miracle for the children of God.

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. And whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17).

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last (Revelation 22:12-13).”
