Why do you think the role of John the Baptist was so important that Jesus would say there was not a greater prophet than he was?
“What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings’ courts. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. This is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You.’ For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”
And when all the people heard Him, even the tax collectors justified God, having been baptized with the baptism of John. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him (Luke 7:24-30).
As was His custom, Jesus often pointed to the Scripture, which prophesied into the point He was making with the words, “It is written”. If, by the Word, creation took place and Jesus is the Word made flesh, then He becomes the clarion voice in which are found the headlines for today. Everything will happen according to and exactly as it is written in the Word of God. Why, on God’s earth, would we withhold such a book from our children if the future is written there for their understanding?
Will it not be the religious world today, which will reject Him and the message of John the Baptist as it was in that day? They were the scribes, or lawyers of the day, who joined in the rejection of Jesus with the religious leaders. Why do you think the Law Societies of Ontario and Nova Scotia have banned young graduates of Trinity Western University from practicing in these provinces, due to the fact that they have taken an oath to not participate in any sexual relationships outside of marriage while attending that university?
These legal associations are refusing to accept the accreditation of the university’s new, proposed law school simply because of the students’ faith and trust in the Word of God instead of accepting the lies and abominations, which so clearly come from Satan. Oh yes, Jesus also had to address this problem by declaring to the scribes and Pharisees that their father was the devil.
“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do (John 8:44).”
Of course, nations, which honor religion and tie their governments to it, are called the gentile nations, from which God separated His people and His nation. The greatest tool used by these nations is not the tolerance they declare, but rather the enforcement of intolerance for those who stand for the truth of God and refuse to buy into their religious lies. At which point, the methods of enforcement can become brutal, when taken by those of the antichrist spirit, who hate the Christ. They killed Him and they will likewise kill the witnesses to His truth, without a moment’s hesitation.
It seems we have to reach this point of being controlled before we are driven back to the truth. Notice how the No-God-crying, liberal Democrats, especially those of the late-night, talk-show media, hate and revile those who call for a return to God in this country, such as the ‘Tea-Partiers’. Note the brutal, liberal attacks coming against Republican women, whom the liberals deem to be too right of center for them, even though the liberals lay claim to being the women’s party.
Like everything else, which the liberals declare, the foundation for their thought processes is generally based on a lie. They will label intolerance for the abominations, which are declared to be such by God, as phobias, yet the ones who carry out the abominations are, in point of fact, the ones who are phobic and cannot tolerate any opposition to their abominable acts. So, they hound and threaten people, governments and religions, which refuse to line themselves up with them.
But then, it is all written just exactly how this will happen in the end times in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. It is written that a final, little book will be written, at which time the voice of God will be heard like the roar of a lion and the cry of seven thunders. This will signify that the end of the prophecy of the written Testimony will come at the same time as the end of history arrives.
It is in this day when the mystery of God will be finished as He declared to His servants, the prophets. John, the revelator, was told to seal the little book and eat it for there would come a beautiful day, when prophecy will be fulfilled with the coming of the kingdom on earth, for which we have prayed regularly, but only achieved through the bitterness of pain and death in this world!
The good news is that it will be like a woman giving birth to sons and daughters of the kingdom by dying to the old person to become a newborn in the Spirit, a child who will be snatched up to the throne of God for an eternity with Him. The woman (the church) has been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb from every nation, to transform the Lord’s bride into His partner and priest for God.
The church shall reign on earth in fulfillment of the covenant promise to Abraham, whereby all the families and nations of the earth will be blessed. She will be the true, spiritual nation of Israel, which will be a great blessing to the world, something no other nation ever succeeded in becoming, in a world ruled by Satan in the antichrist spirit of death.
There are two women rising up at this time; one is Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth, born of the spirit of rebellion to God, in which Eve chose to live out her life. The other is a woman born of the same Spirit as Jesus was born to Mary, the spiritual line of the apostolic church, which was birthed at Pentecost. But it was quickly taken captive just as the nation Israel was taken captive by Satan’s empire system of nations, to drink of the river waters of the empires, which lead to death.
The woman, born of the Spirit, will make her own full exodus from the entire Babylonian-Assyrian-Egyptian, religious system, which worships only the gods of this world. This woman, like Joseph before Pharaoh, will bow only to her Lord God. She will be the light of Israel, which God first called His nation to be through complete fidelity to only Him and His government rooted in His Law.
Such fidelity had the promise of the covenant blessing for Abraham upon it. There could be no compromise with the empires of Satan rooted in his lies of the religious, belief systems. This was to be a nation witnessing to the truth of the God of truth, in order to become fruitful birthers in a covenant, based on truth, within the marriage bed of God and mankind.
Who else, but the Lord’s bride, would understand His final, revealed mysteries, surrounding the spiritual waters of the empires? The real baptism was given not by John, but rather by Jesus. He is the only One who could give the baptism of the Spirit to bring about the essential change of spiritual waters needed in the lives of man so that he would thirst no more for the peace, which will always elude him in this world of sin, violence and cruelty.
What a fool anyone is, who trusts in the religious nations, which have formed the United Nations, believing any nation, whatsoever, has the ability to bring peace to the world! They languish in the empire waters, which God will fill with the blood of rebellious, sinful men, just as Moses turned the waters of the Nile to blood. We once had pure water in America, but it will soon become red with the blood of empires.
And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. And whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17).
Who will make this final call with the Spirit? She is a woman called the bride. It was to a woman to whom Jesus first revealed Himself as the risen Lord, appearing to her in what she saw to be the form of a gardener. For He was the Gardener and Creator of every single thing and being in the Garden, just east of Eden. And all of the living beings had the freedom and liberty to choose the direction, which they would take. They could either live in the spiritual waters of God, eating of the fruit of truth and eternal life, or die in the spiritual empire waters of Satan, eating of the fruit of the evil lies of this world, which will lead to an eternity among the dead.
If one were to break the first commandment of God, one would be deemed to have broken all of the commandments, and worthy of the death penalty. If he kept the first commandment of Moses’ Law, then he would be deemed to be in relationship with God and Jesus would take the rest of the Law on His shoulders at the cross through man’s trust in Him for salvation and his redemption from the penalty of sin through repentance (see Isaiah 9:6).
A simple declaration of truth will do it. Then one will see a change in one’s life, like no other, as one goes from death to eternal life, able to look forward to an eternity in the kingdom of heaven, coming as the next feature attraction on earth.
