The Plain Truth
May 13, 2009
Man has one of two options – he either accepts the Bible as the guide to life, or he does not. There are enormous consequences to the choice he makes. In the event one accepts it, one shall live; to reject it is to die, for the alternative means there is no God and there is no possibility of life after death.
It is the truth of the Bible, which runs contrary to religion and belief systems consisting of man-made doctrines and practices. Doctrines and practices do not give life. The Bible is God breathed, written by men who are inspired by the Holy Spirit. The first warning that God gave to His newly created man was to stay away from the fruit of that tree, which would bring forth the spirit of religion, the same spirit, which brought condemnation upon the religious Pharisees.
Well might one ask why one should believe such statements about truth and the Bible. The truth is self-validating and does not depend upon what I believe or what anyone else believes to validate it; our belief systems are irrelevant. The plain truth – the Bible stands upon itself for validation.
It is a book, which is 100% prophetic and 100% without error in its prophetic fulfillment. The interesting thing is that the prophets who wrote the Bible also prophesied in their day and, again, were without error, for God’s voice was heard through their voices; they did not prophesy from their own imaginings. Their prophecies are still being fulfilled. If there is a prophet in our midst, that prophet will speak with the voice of God being heard today.
Note how the prophet Nathan spoke to David about man building a temple for God. What was in David’s heart – good or bad – mattered not at all. The prophet spoke from his own understanding and God immediately corrected him saying he was to give His message to David and not any message from his own understanding.
Some will tell us that the days of prophecy are over. Is that what the Bible says? Not at all, for the last voice heard in the Bible outside of God’s warning, is that of the Spirit and the bride calling together to mankind to come. Just what and who is this last voice speaking for God and calling to mankind? She is reaching out one last time before history is complete, to those who have ears to hear truth, calling to all men to come off the broad road traveled by the religious of the world who have trusted in the minds of men instead of trusting in the Word of God. The bride will confront men with the truth by saying there is one last time to hear from Him and then the door of opportunity closes upon those who will not hear and are not teachable.
Noah spent approximately 120 years building an ark in preparation for a flood in a dry land. He was ridiculed and mocked by men who would have laughed at the very notion that it could rain enough to cause a flood. Even more difficult for them to believe was the fact that Noah claimed he was hearing from a God they could not see or hear themselves.
Even though Noah was the laughing stock of his day, in truth, he was the prophet of his day as well. No one was laughing the day God closed the door of the ark and sealed it just before the rain began and judgment was about to fall on these foolish men. Once it was on its way, it was then too late to do anything to rectify the situation.
There had always been an open invitation to mankind from God to enter into the ark of salvation, but there were none righteous enough to hear, to listen or to accept the invitation, except Noah. Would you believe that it is the same situation today as it was in his day? Let me quote what the Bible says: Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6:5).
Take a good look around you; are you seeing one man committed to one woman for life? Are you seeing family values emphasized in the media and the classroom, let alone defended by governments and courts? Are you seeing warnings about the content of every movie presented on television today, telling us they are unsuitable for anything but a mature audience because of sexual content, foul language or violence? Is it a sign of maturity that we are ready to watch such garbage?
If so-called entertainment requires a warning, why in the world is it being produced instead of presenting the public with something more palatable, which does not require a warning? Is there not the implication that a so-called God-fearing nation prefers behavior unacceptable to Him?
Is it not more likely that this is all part of a satanic master plan to implant such material into the minds of our children and adults alike? Is pornography not a sickness now of gigantic proportions to which the media has purposely been used to manipulate and corrupt the minds of a people?
Americans were not confronted with such trash when we honored God and gave Him dominion from sea to sea. Children were safe on the streets, and schoolroom shootings were unheard of as recently as in the days of my youth. Now, the violence of the religious nations has come to America, something which could not have happened when the requirement of an oath on the Bible, swearing allegiance to God and country, guarded our borders from the immigration of those who do not accept the truth of God. In those days, their religion was not protected by “rights law” that allowed them to set up camp and destroy the rule of God’s Law. God promises liberty in His Law, but not any ‘right’ to disobedience and to break it, for the better good of all.
So, the violence and terrorism of the first ten years of this century have gained a foothold in this country as liberty in God’s truth gives way to the paganism and liberalism, which come with the lies of religious groups. The incredible thing is this; like Adam and Eve, mankind is ready to believe the lies when he will not believe the truth. He will honor men and the beast when he will not honor God.
Media interviewers, such as George Stroumboulopoulos and David Letterman, are beginning to show their true biases toward liberalism openly, which are the same as those being expressed indirectly, day in and day out, by the rest of the media reporters and interviewees. They have a strong agenda to destroy the liberty of God and replace it with the liberalism of Satan. This is the real problem and not those crutches of environment and global warming, for which they have created a need for a paralytic society that has lost the will to walk upright without a firm foundation beneath its feet.
So, as you take a look around, you will discover that it is now as it was in the days of Noah. The Lord warned His disciples that such conditions would exist in the latter days. “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. And they will say to you, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Do not go after them or follow them. For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed (Luke 17:22-30).”
Has Jerusalem not become a cup of trembling just as Jesus said it would be as the armies begin forming around the city? “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled (Luke 21:20-22).”
These are words He spoke nearly 2,000 years ago. Mohammed was not yet on the scene, nor would he be born for several hundred years. He was not a prophet, nor did he ever speak any prophetic words that could be attributed to God. Prophets only came from the nation Israel or from the spiritual nation of Israel, today. For prophecy comes from God, not from Allah, not from the mouth of a stone Buddha, or from a holy cow, and there most certainly is no power in a carved totem pole. These are the gods that deface our nation and bring shame to its people.
There is no other book and no other source for truth. There are religious books and books of philosophy, but they are nothing more than products of the minds of men. Is it not infinitely more important to know the mind of God Who knows the beginning from the end and all things that are in between?
Give me one hour unraveling prophecy in the truth with the Lord, and I am one happy camper. In comparison to the Book of truth, the rest one reads can be classed as mere fairy tales coming from nothing more than the imaginings of men.
