There Are Spectators and There are Activists Written by Elinor Montgomery – emontgomery@cogeco.ca April 13, 2006 Maintaining our heritage in liberty in this country does not belong to the role of the spectator. While our heritage was still secure in Canada, and while still resting on our ancestral laurels, we, as a group of people with a vision for freedom and liberty in the West, felt very little threat from the activists. They were considered to be a source of annoyance more than a present danger to the nation. The gangster-led unions, McCarthy’s ‘Commies’, Jane Fonda’s peace-spouting, and Barbra Streisand’s treasonous liberal activism could all be lumped together in the same lump. It was most certainly an irritating lump, but originally, a manageable one, which, by ignoring it, could be swept under the carpet, whenever it was expedient to do so. While the lazy, liberty–minded Americans of both nations were sleeping, being the group to which our ancestors had handed the torch of light and liberty in the land for safekeeping, a nasty little trickle of liberal, leftist activism became a floodwater, which moved in over the land to nearly destroy it. Hollywood, and most every other form of the media, in conjunction with liberal judges reigning over the courtrooms, not only raised the flag of liberalism over this nation, as they took their respective venues captive, but they also raised the flag of victory. We, the sleeping population, slept right through the action, while God allowed the victory, meant for His light-bearing people, to be turned around and given to the enemy. We literally slept while the white flag of surrender was raised over our heads, before we were even aware that the battle had begun. We had failed to place watchmen on the walls to detect the enemy at the first sign of its appearing. The role of political activism, which I had once come to revile, has now become the only way we will be able to save this country. Formerly, activists fell almost entirely under the label of liberalism, promoting anything that came against the hard-earned values established in this country under God. They were the early settlers, who gave their lives to bring forth a government for the generations to follow, so that they might benefit from a land ruled under the liberty of God and His Word. But successive generations became progressively softer, possessing neither the physical strength, nor the moral fortitude of their ancestors. These early American men and women lived and died for what was right in God, according to His Law and His Word. But the subsequent generations forgot about God, just as Moses told the Israelites they would forget, once they were in the land and possessed the bounty and victory with which they were about to be blessed. We can either go back to sleep and ignore the liberal victory that took place while we were sleeping or wake up and become actively involved in the battle to save God and liberty in Canada. We, in fact, must become the activists, which were once associated with liberalism, the disease of our nation, in the same way that the hated tax collector was transformed into a beloved apostle of the Lord. Liberalism stems from the Garden of Creation, when Satan led man into sin by telling him he could be like the Most High God without listening to and obeying Him. Satan told him that he could do it his own way, even though he might disobey God’s Word, for God was a loving God and surely would not let him die, or so he said. This is the lie behind the liberal move to not only suppress the truth of the Word of God, but to remove it completely from the nation as being a Book, which has no relevance for our modern times. God is raising up His true church to be a voice for the nation. She will stand only on the gospel of truth, called to witness in the same way that the early church was called, without any involvement in plans for building religious cathedrals. As Supreme Ruler over this land, He will no longer accept inactive church soldiers, resting in the comfort of their pews, compromised with the secular world. The church will either become an active voice for the truth, or she shall surely die in her liberalism. A tree is known by its fruit. Her job is to actively lobby this nation for God, as did the prophets of old, by becoming His cupbearer and His voice, standing only on the truth. Her commission remains the same as that of the early apostolic church, called to be fishers of men, fishing His people out of the murky seawaters of death. God has opened the door in Canada with a change of leadership and a feeling that the air has suddenly become fresher over the land. We have been given a window of opportunity for our voices to be heard, where formerly liberalism ruled. Trying to sow a seed of righteousness in a liberal dominated environment was like throwing a seed upon hard ground. Nothing could take root in such an atmosphere. We do not need any more religious groups running the show for God, for they are nothing but vehicles, used to counterfeit the true church. It is her job to stand only on the truth and to return the truth to this land, so the children can be taught from the only Book known by man to be the truth. Satan is the author of religion, the breeding ground for liberalism, based on the lies of the belief system. God is the Author of the truth, the Bible, the one and only spiritual guide for man, which is not based on any religious credo. All religious books are nothing but tools of Satan to promote other gods, and other authorities than that of the Lord, Jesus Christ. I can guarantee that if the true church does not rise up to become active in speaking for the truth now, before it is too late, then her voice will soon be cut off. It will be placed behind bars, by the very cultic religions, which we are presently welcoming into this land, giving their cultic tripe equal place with the Word of God. Our parliament is starting to be dotted with just such religious zealots, and without watchmen on the walls, they will fill the government and take over our land to make us just another religiously controlled country like the countries of the East. What separated us from them was the fact that the West threw off her religious shackles, for the freedom, which came only from making God and the truth, not religion, the basis for justice and liberty in America. Wake up Canada, and seize the moment! This is the time and hour when truth will be heard, if it is ever again going to rule over this nation. The Muslim credo, which is being touted by some to be a peace-loving religion, has but one aim, which is world domination by killing the infidel. We have just watched a Muslim dominated nation, with many Christian soldiers helping it to be liberated from tight religious terrorist controls, place a man on death row for believing in Jesus instead of Mohammed. What in the world makes gullible Americans believe that such religious zealots are any different because they are living in America? They, in fact, are playing on the ‘tolerance’ of uninformed, unschooled people who have been deprived of the knowledge of God’s Word. They are setting up mosques all over this country where, young religious men and women are being taught the dangerous ideology of the pie-in-the-sky rewards of Allah for their martyrdom. Various religious people demand the right to carry their religious swords and wear their religious burkhas in the classrooms while, at the same time, doing everything in their power to keep the Bible out of them. By law this is the only Book, which the government of this land deems to be truth. Shake yourselves free from political correctness, and the intolerant ‘tolerance’ of a secular academia and liberal press. Make your voice heard and become an activist, or you most certainly will go down to destruction as a spectator to the demise of the nation. |
