A Book of Many Exoduses

The book of Exodus comes immediately upon the heel of Genesis. Yet, exodus does not begin here but rather right in the beginning when God said, “Let there be light!” Exodus means ‘to go out’ or ‘to depart from’. From out of darkness came light so that the very essence of an exodus, by nature, must embody redemption.

The birth of a human, another exodus, is a coming out from the darkness of the womb into the light of day and into the beginning of understanding. Adam came from the womb of God, from the darkness of dust into light by the breath of the Spirit of life.

We do not have to travel the road very far, which is laid out in the book of Exodus, in order to see the problems and labor pains accompanying the birth of a nation. It was a nation that came out of the political womb of Egypt to see the tabernacle built where the glory of God came down to earth to dwell there with His people.

Jesus was birthed from the virginal womb of a woman, so that He might make the exodus from heaven to the earth beneath. He performed the act of redemption for the world by His death and resurrection. Yet, another exodus still was imminent when He was seen being taken up in a cloud, as He made His exodus from this world to the heavens above and into the next world.

While on earth, He birthed the church with a body made up of twelve apostles whom He separated in an exodus from the religion of His day, to become His light of Israel and His witnesses to the truth. With these men Jesus brought forth the spiritual nation of Israel, which would depart from the nation Israel in an exodus that would cause the church to spread and grow throughout all of the nations of the world.

In the same manner as the nation Israel became captive to Egypt before her, the spiritual nation would be taken captive by the religion of Romanism, in which the Lord God would allow it to grow, just like Israel grew in the womb of Egypt. Eventually, the light of spiritual Israel would nearly go out as it went out of the nation, in what could be considered a tomb-like repose of the church, not unlike Lazarus asleep in the tomb.

It will require a special calling of Jesus, for the world to see the next exodus in line for man – the departure of the true church from religion and its revival on its apostolic foundation as the witness to the gospel of truth. He will call her out of her Laodicean, tomb-like sleep to be revived again in new life as the light of spiritual Israel shines forth once again for all the world to see.

In the final move it is as it was in the beginning – just waiting upon the voice of the Lord to call forth light out of darkness, which will bring about the exodus of His church from religion into the light of truth.

The true church, the bride, numbering no more than 144,000 from all of the nations, will come under the spiritual blessing of Jacob upon his sons as the witnesses in the spirit of Elijah, before the second coming of Jesus, just as John the Baptist witnessed before His first coming. Added to the spirit of Elijah will be the spirit of Moses, for this is the last and final exodus of the covenant move led by the Lord as the ark goes to its resting place in the kingdom in the throne room of God.

There will be a great harvest in response to the voice of the Spirit and the bride calling the church to come out of her, that harlot of religion, Babylon the Great. It will be time for the light of the Bridegroom and bride to be extinguished and for darkness to cover the earth again as the judgment begins to fall.

Like her Beloved, the bride will suffer death at the hands of the Antichrist ruler of the last of the Babylonian Empires, the Revived Roman Empire, the fiercest of all the beastly kingdom-rulers. In the mirror image of her Beloved, she will be faithful unto death, lying dead for three days. She will be the subject of the same kind of mockery, which Jesus endured until, miraculously, she hears the voice of her Beloved like a trumpet sound calling her to come up and meet Him in the clouds.

This will be the final exodus of the true Israel, as those who rejected God and His Son will come under the fire judgment to go down into the waters of the sea riding the beast all the way. He is that same serpent of old who first deceived Eve and lured her into eating the forbidden fruit of the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

God does not bring evil and suffering upon man. Man brings it upon himself when he rejects the truth for the lies of religion in liberalism from God. God merely allows man to have that which his heart desires.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and all your mind, so that you might be a part of the final exodus to escape the coming night.
