The Book of Truth and Prophecy

January 08, 2011

Where does history begin? It begins with Creation, which separates the wise from the foolish. There is a choice to be made; man can either accept the idea that the power is in the unintelligent beast to evolve into an intelligent, living, breathing human being whom we call man, or that a Divine Intelligence created man in His own image with sight and the ability to reason, by breathing His Spirit of life into him. This set in process the act of breathing, making man a living, pulsating, human being.

Before one can travel in an informed manner through the annals of history there is a choice to be made between wisdom and foolishness. It is pretty evident that death comes when we can no longer breathe. Quite frankly, I am grateful for that breath of life, and choose not to be a fool and give it up for any such foolish theory as that of Evolution, which has no foundation other than that which exists in the minds of men.

God has not left man alone to fend for himself without divine instruction. He gave him the records of history, which are of a holy nature, belonging only to a Holy God. It is His story, which begins at the beginning of time. “But it is not truth,” you say, “and where is the proof in this Book that would separate it from all other books to place it in a class by itself that would allow it to be called both divine and trustworthy?”

The answer lies in the fact that it is a prophetic book from beginning to end and only a divine, all-knowing God can tell the end from the beginning. Some will tell you it is 35% prophetic. Then one has to ask the question as to whether or not God is only 35% knowledgeable about the future or is His knowledge complete at 100%, with His Book being 100% prophetic. Use the intelligence He has given you to deduct your answer.

Then the question follows as to how this book of prophecy was written. Was it merely written by 40-some different authors giving their own ideas about how history transpired, or were they men who were divinely inspired to write by the Spirit of God? Of course man alone cannot prophesy unless it is by the same Spirit, which breathed the breath of life into him. And the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified (Daniel 5:23).

Are you willing to believe that a God who set the process of your breathing in place is not capable of working in you with the same Spirit? Of course He is; He can guide your every thought and way, which leads the pen in your hand to write! What is fascinating about this divinely inspired Holy Book is the fact that a single thread of prophecy, which can only come from God, runs through every book written by different men, centuries apart in time. And the prophecies written by these different men interact perfectly with each other’s insights, having no error throughout any of these books compiled together to make up the Holy Book called the Bible.

Any man who wrote any part of this book heard the voice of God, through the Spirit, which gave him the authority to speak for God. Such a man is called a prophet, and he came from one nation, and one nation only, called Israel, a nation God formed to be ruled by Himself, unlike any of the gentile nations. No other nation has any such book, which is divinely inspired and written by God through His prophets.

The nature of this nation changed at the cross to cross over and become a spiritual nation. At that point the kingdom became the destination of the spiritual nation, whereas, the Promised Land had been the destination of the natural nation. From the time of the crossover, the prophets came only from the spiritual nation, founded as the apostolic church of Jesus Christ. No one, male or female, Hebrew nation or otherwise, can enter the kingdom without Him.

This crossover blessing from nation to spiritual nation has caused more difficulty for believers and non-believers than any other event in history because man, especially the nation Israel, has resisted this pivotal point of history caused by the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Time came into this point of history, and changed to go out from it anew. This is the event of history, which will cause the fool to be separated from the wise man. The fool has said in His heart, “There is no God (Psalm 53:1).”

Both the wise men from distant countries and simple local shepherds were brought by God to worship the newborn Child called Jesus; for this Baby was no ordinary human being. This Child was conceived, not by the seed of man, but rather by the Holy Spirit, and He was born to be King of all wise men and kings and Lord over all shepherds. He was the promised King coming through the Davidic line of kingship chosen by God to rule over His people in the kingdom to come on earth as it is heaven.

This Child would become the Divine Ruler of the king-priest line of God, far more than a mere Messiah intended for one group of people born into the blood-line of Abraham. This was a Ruler born to save every man, born from Adam onward, if any man should choose to be saved and inherit eternal life. The lineage of Jesus, through the Spirit of life, went all the way back to God, the Creator, for He was born of a virgin called Mary with His Father being the Most High God.

Historians, who were not Spirit-filled writers, recorded His birth. The fact that He was born cannot be questioned historically; it is an accepted fact of history that Jesus lived and died. Did He fulfill the prophecy of the prophets who prophesied His coming? Did He rise again from the dead? Did He perform miracles, which included raising the dead? Those who were His apostles, having shared those important years with Him, witnessed to these things, a fact that very few scholars can refute.

He was born of a virgin as the prophet Isaiah prophesied some 700 years previous to His birth and recorded in the Holy Book (see Isaiah 7:14). He was born in the little town of Bethlehem, just as prophesied by the prophet Micah (see Micah 5:2) at roughly the same time as Isaiah prophesied, not only of the virgin birth, but also concerning the government of the world, which would rest on His shoulder (see Isaiah 9:6). The prophet Amos prophesied that He would have the authority to judge His people and to restore them. He would rebuild the tabernacle of David, which had fallen down (see Amos 9:11). For He was the temple of God; what need had He of any man-made structure?

The beauty of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, during this past century and during my lifetime and that of many others, is that they confirm the fact the Bible has remained unchanged over the centuries. Except for a few changes in the spelling of names of towns in the Bible, all else has remained perfect to the very letter of the original scrolls, which were written a couple of centuries before Christ was born. Even the most doubting Thomas would have a problem when it comes to doubting the accuracy of the Bible, in view of this discovery, as has been the case with most archaeological discoveries of the past century. They overwhelmingly verify one or more passages of the Bible.

And so, we can conclude that His story is as though it were written on stone, metaphorically speaking, as were the Commandments of God. This Book has survived, and will continue to survive, the ravages of time to become the truth and guideline to life for mankind. It is the solid rock foundation for the history of the world. It tells men exactly what is to come in the days just ahead as the history of the evil governments of mankind shuts down and His kingdom comes to replace them.

Politicians pay ‘big bucks’ to advisors for political advice, but the best advice they will ever receive is found in this Book. How in the world could God’s people, who have been given this land of America, have allowed the teaching of the Bible to be taken away from our children to make room for the teachings of fools like Darwin and their theories such as that of Evolution for which no proof has ever been found? Nothing even remotely close has surfaced, which can really persuade reputable scientists to declare evolution to be a fact of science.

The answers to man’s questions about life are found in the prophetic book of Genesis, which describes the Creation and the fall of man into sin, leading to death. It is there that we will discover the revelation of the waters and just how important are the seawaters and the four rivers, which are mentioned in chapter two. Without the understanding of the waters, we cannot determine the significance of world events, which are happening today.

The answer as to why we are experiencing the floods, which we are seeing around the world today, is found in the prophetic message of the waters of Genesis. And so, we will travel there next in our journey of discovery and the unveiling of the prophecy, which comes with Biblical revelation.
