Fundamentalism and Radicalism

Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

What is the difference between fundamentalism and radicalism? I would submit to you that there is virtually no difference except, perhaps, by degrees, and, even then, the line blurs, depending upon the power of government.

For example, in empirical-based regimes of enforced religious standards, you will see the fundamentalists blending into one with the radicals who will rise to the fore to fight the religious wars in order to impose their religions upon all. In a religious-free democracy, which opposes enforced religious practices, the fundamentalist is limited in his/her ability to inflict his/her religion upon others by the most radical.

The difference between religious fundamentalism and radicalism is as different as night is from day, when one compares it to the fundamentalism of the truth of the Bible. God, the Rod of power behind all things created, has set in place the laws of the universe. Whether or not one believes it, is of no consequence. The fundamentalist’s goal is to witness to the truth and allow the pearls to fall where they will.

The Bible declares that all power is steadfastly rooted in the Word, which God has given to us, the living beings, as a guide to a life lived in its fullness. He has revealed life in terms of light and then proceeds to give the Law of life and light. Choose to live by His truth and life can become eternal rather than temporal. Ignore this Law of truth for religious radicalism, which comes from forces opposing His Word, and you will surely die. The fact is that God allows us to choose our destiny for ourselves.

The fundamentalism of the true church has no relationship with the religious-empirical systems of government. It was established by the Son of God and rightly called the Way to a kingdom where God’s Law prevails. Rome never established the church, which was built by Jesus, the Son of God and Son of Man; it established a form of religion called Christianity. Jesus was always at odds with the religious leaders of His day, who also were appointed by Rome, and He never submitted to their priesthood, whom He called sons of the devil.

Saul, who became the apostle Paul, was the perfect example of such a priesthood. He was confronted by the light of truth, which fundamentally rearranged his entire thinking processes to change him from a religious radical under religious controls to a free radical in the fundamentalism of truth. He demonstrates to us today the importance of spiritual rebirth, which goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden, when man, who was created within all the wonders of God’s goodness, truth and light, chose to submit himself to the fundamentalism of destroying religion, which ultimately, in radical form, leads to death. Jesus simply reversed the process.

When one acts upon one’s fundamental rooting, if it is religious, it will shoot up from the roots of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It is a tree that has a spiritual vine of lies running through it. This vine cripples and kills, by being a carrier of death, with its substance resembling the poisonous venom of a serpent. On the other hand, if one’s rooting is truth, one lives by the Spirit of life breathed into man by God.

When the spirit of religion is allowed to enter an open door, which does not have the blood of Jesus on its doorposts, then that deadly spirit, like snake venom, is allowed to enter the bloodstream of the body, causing blood poisoning throughout. Ultimately, it will lead to death if there is not a complete blood transfusion with the Spirit of life, replacing the spirit of death. The Bible refers to this process as the baptism of the Spirit when we come out of the control of one spiritual water unto death and into the spiritual waters leading unto life.

The Bible describes these deadly, fundamental, spiritual waters in terms of the separated seawaters and the three deadly rivers of the empires surrounding first, the Egyptian Empire (the Gihon), followed by those river waters surrounding the Assyrian Empire (the Hiddekel), and finally the Euphrates River flowing around and through the empires of the Babylonian system of empires (four in all, with the last one divided into two parts).

These are the deadly, religious-governmental systems of religious fundamentalists and radicals who seek to build empires of nations completely under the ruler-ship of the military. Wars ensue, in which the strongest among them kill and destroy anything and anyone in the way of the elitist gods/rulers at the top of such religious/governmental empires.

Hence we have Saul, the killer, transformed into the baptized Paul, literally baptized by the Spirit as he was instantly transformed by the light, which pierced the darkness of his soul. He was shown how blind he had been by the serpentine scales of religion emanating from the Babylonian system, which had covered his eyes and kept him from having true understanding. This was a demonstration of the power of the Lord to bring forth new life in a rebirth of the Spirit of life lost to every child born of that harlot woman, Eve, and the corrupted seed of her husband, Adam, who was lured into believing her voice when he would not believe the voice of God. He had allowed the deadly spiritual waters to flow through his life, which would take him down to the pit of death.

Today, we have two proverbs facing us squarely, which concern the political scene in the United States. The first is Proverbs 7, which panders to the religious liberalism from God, now so clearly seen in a lying woman whose house is built upon a foundation of lies.

My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your finders; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call understanding your nearest kin, that they may keep you from the immoral woman, from the seductress who flatters with her words.

For at the window of my house I looked through my lattice, and saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, a young man devoid of understanding, passing along the street near her corner; and he took the path to her house in the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night. And there a woman met him, with the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart. She was loud and rebellious, her feet would not stay at home. At times she was outside, at times in the open square, lurking at every corner.

So she caught him and kissed him; with an impudent face she said to him: “I have peace offerings with me; today I have paid my vows. So I came out to meet you, diligently to seek your face, and I have found you. I have spread my bed with tapestry, colored coverings of Egyptian linen. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love until morning; let us delight ourselves with love. For my husband is not at home; he has gone on a long journey; he has taken a bag of money with him, and will come home on the appointed day.”

With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, with her flattering lips she seduced him. Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks, till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, he did not know it would take his life.

Now therefore, listen to me, my children; pay attention to the words of my mouth: do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, do not stray into her paths; for she has cast down many wounded, and all who were slain by her were strong men. Her house is the way to hell, descending to the chambers of death (Proverbs 7:1-27).

On the political left we have Hillary Clinton calling out to the nation to support her and her liberal ideology, while her husband is not home but rather out gallivanting with his money bag, elsewhere. With her enticing lips and voice rooted in lies, she entices her prey into her snare, with the prey not realizing its very life could be at stake.

Then, on the right we have Ben Carson, the very essence and bodily form of Proverbs 8, a man full of wisdom and understanding from the truth of God’s Word who has taken his stand on the high hill of the Way where the paths meet – literally at the foot of the cross on the mountain of Calvary, once called Mount Moriah. He stands among the elders at the gateway to the shining city on the hill, having a mouth, which speaks truth, not lies, refusing to be bludgeoned by those people of the media who are trying to smear his name because he has no regard for their ideas of Political Correctness. Instead, he is deeply rooted in God’s Word of truth, hated by the same harlot media, which glorifies the lie.

Does not wisdom cry out, and understanding lift up her voice? She takes her stand on the top of the high hill, beside the way, where the paths meet. She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entrance of the doors: “To you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of men. O you simple ones, understand prudence, and you fools, be of an understanding heart. Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, and from the opening of my lips will come right things; for my mouth will speak truth; wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; nothing crooked or perverse is in them. They are all plain to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold; for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.

I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength. By me kings reign, and rulers decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth. I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver. I traverse the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice, that I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries (Proverbs 8:1-21).”

America is at the crossroads where the paths of civilization meet. The political scene is moving strongly toward becoming one with a religious and economic partnership in a world government, which in turn will become a One World Order of all three. The nations of the world are converging at the foot of the cross, where the crossover takes place. The peoples of the nations are scrambling, to either go through in victory on the Way to the kingdom or to be detoured onto the broad road of destruction.

The harlot woman is waiting for those whom she has lured into her snare, as is the good woman of wisdom and understanding waiting to welcome those who have eaten of her spiritual delicacies – words from her lips formed with truth. How is it possible to look at these two women of Proverbs and not see that two very different people will emerge from having chased one or the other of the two, both of whom are fundamentalists and radicals?

Should a Muslim be allowed to be President of the United States? I would suggest that we are already part-way there, with a spiritual ‘transgenderalist’ in office. He chose to show the world that it is ‘transgenderalism’, which he wanted the Pope and high priest of Roman religion to meet here, while visiting this country. Raised as a Muslim, President Obama is now a pretender to the religion of Christianity and thinks that dressing verbally in Christian language makes him into a Christian, even though he still bows to the East.

He has been all about pretenses, the pretenses, which are paving the way for the ungodly marriage between Islam and Christianity, one which will never be fruitful. In fact, such an alliance will rob America of her chaste marriage to the truth of the Bible by placing the corruption of the Koran and Sharia law in bed with that which was good, but will never “know” good again.

Do you not know that Islam forbids Christianity within the ranks of every nation of this world? Do you not know that it is pressing toward the One World Order of Islam from the south, while the king of the north and father of Communism, is pushing toward another One World Order of Communism, from the north? In the Far East, Communism is building its military forces in numbers, which equal 200,000,000 (see Revelation 9:16). That which was prophesied nearly 2000 years ago has become fact today. This is how the Bible validates itself. It is 100% prophecy. The past and future blend together into one truth through prophecy. Only the Spirit of God, who knows the beginning from the end, could write through man in such a way.

God’s truth will survive and grow but religions have come, have changed and have gone. Communism, Islam, Judaism and Christianity will go the same way as all other religions; for nothing is surer than the words of Jesus who told us He will return and set up His kingdom on earth. Where will you be when this happens? Will you be in the camp of the biggest liar of all time or in the camp belonging to the truth and the light of the world?

Life and death are at our very doors, as they were at the doors of the Israelites on the eve of the Exodus of this little nation from Egypt. The exodus of mankind from world rule into divine rule is also at the door and fundamentalism will be caused to transform itself into radicalism for truth or radicalism for religion.

There will be no colors, except those of light and darkness and the light only becomes color when it is broken for you and me. The light’s name is Jesus. There is no such thing as a rainbow of darkness. The rainbow can only be seen when the light of truth is seen to be broken in the sky, or as diamonds of prophecy on earth, working their way through glass-like prisms. One will never see a rainbow without the light of the sun.

The truth is every bit as fundamental and radical as is Islam or, for that matter, as is any religion; but there is a difference. Islam will never control the world but the truth will. When Jesus returns, every knee will bow to Him by choice, when He rules and reigns forever – not for an hour, a day or a year, but forever. Is this fundamental and radical thinking? It doesn’t get any more fundamental or radical than the truth, for within it, there is found no tolerance for the lie.
