There is a time-gap in history, which is part of the backbone of Bible history and prophecy identified as the seventy-weeks-of-years prophecy of the book of Daniel (Daniel 9:24-27). Daniel, himself, looked to the prophet Jeremiah who had just previously received the seventy-year prophecy regarding the number of years the nation Israel would serve the king of Babylon.
By linking the two, it becomes evident Daniel’s seventy-weeks-of-years prophecy is meant for the latter days, when the rule of the kings of the Babylonian system finishes with the desolation of Jerusalem. At the very same time spiritual Jerusalem shall be restored and built after seven weeks of years (49 years) from the time the order was given by the Persian king, Artaxerxes, around 445 B.C. for the rebuilding of the city and sixty-two weeks of years (434 years) until the time Messiah, the Prince (Jesus), would be cut off.
With these two periods of time, we can account for sixty-nine weeks of the time period prophesied by Daniel. But one more week of seven years will be required to account for Daniel’s completed seventy-weeks-of–years prophecy, which dovetails with the seventy-year prophecy given to Jeremiah. The seventieth week of Daniel’s prophecy takes us to the latter days and the final week of seven years pointing to the great judgment, which is known as the tribulation and the time of Jacob’s trouble. However, there is a time gap of an unspecified number of years that exists between the death of Jesus on the cross and the time of judgment, the seven-year tribulation.
So the seventy weeks of years are divided into three specific time lots; the time to the rebuilding of the city (from the time of the giving of the decree by which Nehemiah was allowed to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the wall of the city), and then the period until Jesus the Messiah was crucified, and finally, the week of years, in which the desolation of Jerusalem by the Babylonian system is completed. Spiritual Jerusalem will be rebuilt with the consummation of the bride at the same time that the old city is made desolate.
The sixty-nine-week period was completed to the day when Jesus rode on a donkey into Jerusalem, hailed as the King and worshiped with the waving of palm branches. This was followed by a period that is one of the great mysteries of the ages, the time-gap to which we refer between the sixty-ninth week of years and the seventieth week of years.
The gap is the time of the church age or the period set by God for the church of His Son, the apostolic church to become the torch-carrier of Abraham’s dream, This is the real light of liberty to the world of the Lord of truth, until the time of the Antichrist when the iniquity of the sanctuary and city will be utterly destroyed. This takes place only after the final purification of spiritual Israel, when her garments shall be made white, and she does a dance and a perfect skate over the frozen waters of this world, with her partner Jesus leading the way.
“Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, and they shall sorrow no more at all. Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old, together; for I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them, and make them rejoice rather than sorrow (Jeremiah 31:12-13).”
The church age encompasses a religious period of Babylonian captivity from the time Constantine declared the new religion of Christianity would become the official religion of the Roman Empire to the end of the age and the coming judgment. In this period of time, the captive church would be deceived by a system of religion called Roman Catholicism, which would take upon itself the name of the church. This was the glue of Romanism, which connected the fallen, but not dead, Roman Empire to the latter days Revived Roman Empire, when it would appear to become alive again with its own powerful Caesar, who will be known as the Antichrist.
And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived (Revelation 13:14).
A most interesting piece of the mystery is that of the cessation of the Olympic Games during the better part of this same gap in Daniel’s prophecy, known as the church age. Either Theodosius 1, in AD 393, or his grandson, Theodosius II, in AD 435, suppressed the Games as part of a campaign to impose Christianity as a state religion. It would appear that there was a kind of compliance or making way by the gods of Olympus for the new religion of the Babylonian system. Was it not all part of Satan’s deceptive plan to establish the church within Babylon, in order to make it bow to the statue of gold, silver and bronze, the iron of which had fallen, but would rise again in revival?
How was it possible for the two to co-exist since the ancient Olympics were not only an athletic event but also a religious festival to honor the Greek god, Zeus? Did the God of the church not command that His people would have no other gods before Him? The conflict would have to be removed if the church were to move subtly from one God to the multi-cults of many religious gods, without offense to the church. The Games provided the most influential cultural stage of their day. So they would have to bide their time until a future date when the church would be deceived enough that it could be persuaded to carry the Olympic torch of the gods, rather than the torch of liberty, the torch of God’s people.
The revival began with an all-male Olympic Games held in Athens, Greece in 1896, followed by the first Winter Olympics held in 1924 in Chamonix, France, considered to be the death-sport capital of the world. This was the time, also, of the beginning of the defining century of all centuries when the signs of the times would be evident (see Matthew 24:1-31). It was the beginning of the end, when, “many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase (Daniel 12:4)”.
The flag of the Olympic Games has five interlocking rings representing the five parts of the world, which joined together in the Olympic movement. This dovetails perfectly with the four godless empires of the Babylonian system, the fourth being divided into two separate parts to make up five, the second part of the fourth rising up only at the time of the end of the church age. The Olympic flame symbolizes the death and rebirth of the Greek heroes who were their gods, the counterfeit of the rebirth about which Jesus spoke to Nicodemus. Black, by necessity, would be the color to represent the final empire.
The revival of the Olympics, in order to coincide with the revival of the Babylonian system, would require an arm of the fourth empire to rise up, which will bring with it the establishment of the One World Order. This is the time of the fullness of nations coming back into a united religious system, which began with unity of religion at the tower-building of Babel. A movement toward unity of the paganism of the religions of the world will begin with a multicultural movement in America, a land under God. God must decrease for the cults to gain a foothold for the pagan gods to increase, which is the very opposite to what John the Baptist had to say about his ministry, which gave way to Jesus.
And so, in Canada, this very significant year of the 2010 Winter Olympics, God laid it out for us to see during the natural course of the Games exactly what is happening time-wise in relationship to the seventy weeks of years prophesied by Daniel.
Of course, the symbol of these Olympics suggests the Babylonian system with the five rings and Ilanaaq over them coming together. This pagan stone image is about as close to a pagan stone Buddha as one can get, with the image being given the power of a god to direct people to friendship and peace, as though there can be power in idols of this sort, which are forbidden for God’s people. Like any stone configuration, it can be broken to pieces, and what better way than with the truth about what it really represents? “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces (Jeremiah 23:29)?”
The last and fourth arm of the torch could not come up until this time, just before the revival of the final empire. It is then that the world will come into a One World Order after the perfect skate of the dancing partners, the Lord and His bride, dressed in pure white as she is set free of the religious system of Romanism. Once her perfect, divinely-partnered, gold-medal skate has been completed by overcoming Satan to witness only to the truth, then, and only then, will it be over.
The entire Babylonian system of politics, religion and economics, which arose in the Garden of Eden with the lure of Satan and the deception of man, will all come tumbling down, as represented by the four arms of the Olympic torch being lowered to disappear into the ground.
The cessation of the Olympic Games, along with the dormancy of the Roman Empire, speak of sleeping giants about to awake, as was again demonstrated in the Olympics with the huge balloon-like, puffed-up symbols floating through the air, which speak of the spiritualism attached to this nation.
God was missing, but the idols abounded with a head of two horns like the beast of Revelation coming up out of the earth like a lamb, but speaking like a dragon. It is the same voice of Satan that spoke through the serpent to Eve to which Canada has so foolishly paid homage. It is called worshiping the beast. It is clearly the prelude to causing as many as will not worship the image of the beast to be killed (see Revelation 13:11-18).
And so the pall of death hung over the Winter Olympics 2010. Take heed of the signs! Ilanaaq, the Inunnguaq means “imitation of a person”. It would appear the imitation of a person is closely tied to the image of the beast given a seat of honor to be worshiped over God. Undeniably, the two horns popped up visibly throughout the entire opening and closing ceremonies.
And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do (see Revelation 13:14).
Wake up Canada, and the rest of America, to know the times into which we are entering. Repent and make yourselves ready in robes of white linen, for the judgment is at hand. Many will go down from lack of understanding, shrouded in the mystery of who and what is Babylon the great, mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth (see Revelation 17:5).
“Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand (Daniel 12:10).”
The seventieth week of years, the tribulation period, the time of Jacob’s trouble, is right at your door. The 2010 Winter Olympic Games have been a mammoth sign of the times delivered to the entire world in an arena, which was open to all nations, for God to use that which was intended for evil for His own purposes.
