Judas was numbered among the twelve apostles. This means he was given to Jesus by God, along with the others. He was surnamed Iscariot (see Luke 22:3). Can you name any other man in the Bible who was given a surname?
This same verse tells us Satan entered Judas. We know there are only two others whom Satan enters, and they are the serpent of the Garden and the Antichrist to come. Yet, still, God allowed this man to be numbered among the twelve, though unlike the others, he was a son of perdition.
Very few in this world, indeed, have experienced a face-to-face encounter with Jesus. Now, Judas was one of those who were blessed beyond others with a face-to-face relationship, having known Him in His natural state and having heard the truth. It is also shown in Scripture that, having been so blessed, Judas still chose to be a thief.
Mary, sister of Martha and Lazarus, anointed the feet of Jesus with very costly oil worth three hundred denarii. Judas complained to Jesus about it, saying the oil should have been sold and the money then given to the poor. Scripture explains the truth of the matter: This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it (John 12:6).
The prophet Zechariah prophesied that the princely price they would set upon the truth of the Lord was thirty pieces of silver (see Zechariah 11:12-13). Judas conferred with the chief priests and captains, by cutting a deal whereby, for 30 pieces of silver, he would betray Jesus.
And for this deed, the name of Judas Iscariot is remembered throughout history as that of the man who betrayed the Lord. Jesus said of the one who would betray Him that it would have been good for that man if he had never been born (see Mark 14:21). There was a certain sleaze about Judas, in so far as he came leading the multitude to the garden in Gethsemane where Jesus was praying before being taken captive by them. While betraying Him, Judas did so with a kiss planted upon His face.
Now, once Judas saw that Jesus was condemned to death, he was remorseful. There is a question, which will go unanswered throughout history regarding Judas. Was he naїve enough to believe that he would not jeopardize his blessed relationship with Jesus and possibly lose his salvation by cooking up a deal with the religious leaders of the day to sell Him out?
Judas allowed himself to play right into the hands of the economic, religious and political systems, the three world systems, which make up the mark of the beast, 666. This foolish man called Judas Iscariot did exactly what the book of Revelation warns against, with respect to not taking the number of man and the number of the beast. It is wisdom to understand and calculate this, or otherwise, like Judas, we could be caught in the same trap of serving the beast of religion, instead of serving Jesus. You cannot serve two masters, and it was demonstrated that Judas was a hypocrite, professing one thing and doing another.
In the end there will be nothing but remorse for putting so little value on the precious blood of Jesus, the Man Who died on a cross for you and me that we might live. Finally, when we come to understanding, as did Judas, it will be too late for most, and the knowledge of what we have done to ourselves will be tantamount to the desire to commit suicide. What good does gold or silver serve at this point?
A nation, ruled by God, will suffer from the same malaise as that suffered by Judas if, after having been given the truth, it refuses to remain washed clean by the Word. America is presently showing her preference for the religious cultures of the nations of the world to Jesus, at the expense of selling Him out in order to embrace multiculturalism.
Israel, in the past, along with America, in the present, have, together, chosen man to be their kings and messiahs. America, like Israel, is asking that the curse fall on her and her children for rejecting Jesus a second time, in order to lead Him to the cross in America as He was formerly led there by His people of the nation Israel. We are daring to say, again today, in the face of God, “Away with Him, away with Him! Crucify Him! ….We have no king but Caesar (John 19:15)!”
Was Obama not recently elected to the office of the President of the United States, as a man without proper credentials to fulfill the role? He presented himself as a false messiah to America, only for her to wake up, too late, to discover he, in fact, is of the antichrist spirit leading the nation toward the One World Order. Men such as Kissinger say openly that he has been groomed for this role at this time.
There are no authentic records to substantiate his birthplace as being that of the United States. In fact there is evidence he was born outside of the country, to which his own grandmother attested. Likewise, there is no evidence that he spent the time he claimed he did, attending classes at either Columbia or Harvard University. The records, which could prove his claims, concerning these halls of higher learning, have been sealed, if indeed they exist at all. Though he was supposedly the first “black” president of the Harvard Law Review, the articles required of him as president of that prestigious publication don’t seem to exist. Nor was he a professor at the University of Chicago, as he has claimed, but rather he was a mere lecturer, and an unpopular one at that by those who can remember him in class (for complete reference go to http://www.newswithviews.com/Stuter/stuter179.htm).
How easily Satan can deceive us with lies when we are not washed clean of that same deadly mark of 666, which was written all over Judas Iscariot! Was he not merely the symbol of the institutional church, weakened by its ties to the religious system of Christianity? The true church has been rendered impotent in so far as it is unable to carry out its great commission of the apostolic church to spread the gospel of truth, while under submission to a system of a Nicolaitan, religious priesthood at the same time.
The religious system of Christianity belongs to the prince of this world called Satan, with its roots going back to Rome (the Babylonian system) and not to God. The ties have to be broken between the two or Satan will surely enter any institution where religion has a foot in the door keeping it open.
As long as the money-changers are within the institutions of Christianity, the tables will be overturned by Jesus. And as long as the church is willing to remain in bed with the political system, holding tightly to its religious status-quo, it will sell out Jesus and eliminate God’s rule over the land. This will allow Satan to enter into the institutions through the religious door, taking with him his United Religion. The union of nations (UN) will possess what was once the glorious land of liberty for the Antichrist, who is against the Christ.
So why does Judas have a surname, a fact, which separates him from any other person in the Bible?
He represents those who have struggled with man and with God throughout the nighttime of the wilderness of the world caught in sin and have failed to be victorious like Jacob who was only then given the name of Israel. God is waiting until the time of the fullness of the gentiles, when the victorious revived apostolic church, along with all the redeemed of the ages, will be given the name of the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of His people, Israel. Esau and Judas rejected such an inheritance for the things of this world.
As the bride of the church in revival, she will refuse to take the mark of the beast, desiring to be known only by the name of her Lord’s people of spiritual Israel. She will take the surname of her Bridegroom, which He gives to her when she is finally joined in the bonds of holy matrimony to Him. He is the Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords and the Son of God, Whose people are called by the name of Israel, forever the surname of the house of God for the spiritual descendants of Jacob, who was called Israel.
Judas was surnamed and marked as a betrayer and son of perdition, who would remain Iscariot of this world forever, never to receive the surname of Israel in the kingdom. He simply refused the opportunity to be washed clean by the truth of Christ to instead partner with religion and the antichrist spirit of his age.
