The Mantle of Light
February 02, 2008
One can either be wrapped in a mantle of light or be surrounded by darkness. Jesus said that He is the Light of the world, so it follows that, to be wrapped in light, we must put on the mantle of Jesus. His light dispels the darkness of our lives.
Darkness is the place for that which comes against the goodness of the truth. It is the result of the lies of evil, of corruption, and of sin, into which we are lured by deceiving spirits. The outcropping of darkness is violence, rebellion, murder and self-destruction, along with the depression and suicidal tendencies, which accompany that thick cloud of darkness. There is no vision or sense of direction.
We have chosen to remove from our children the mantle of light, leaving them unruly and undisciplined. What has been the result of this action? Do we not see that what was once a safe haven of learning has now become a war zone of violence and random shootings?
Instead of learning ‘the three R’s’, our children are spending their free time with computer games, often violent in nature, while listening to demonic music, being continuously piped through earphones into their very souls.
Systems seemingly can be locked by caring parents who do not want their children to plug into pornographic web sites. This merely acts as a band-aid to a serious malaise, which our governments are allowing to fill the airwaves in the name of rights. But where is the provision for the rights of the child, who should be protected by our so-called illustrious judges, whose duty it is to provide a safe haven for them to grow in innocence and in the absence of filth?
Every television program, considered safe for children, now carries a subliminal demonic message at best, and an openly demonic message at worst. Take a good hard look at the cartoons they are watching, which are masking these demonic messages and liberal agendas, intended for their eyes and ears for the purpose of programming them. At the same time, we respond in shock and astonishment at the wicked acts they are committing, which are becoming more commonplace every day, while this is going on unchecked.
Where are our brilliant child psychiatrists, when it doesn’t take any inordinate amount of intelligence to see what the problem is? Where are our judges and government officials, who have allowed this to continue? Do they really represent society’s concerns or do they dictate what will take place in society? Where, might I ask, is the church if not sound asleep while this is going on before its very eyes?
We have rebellious, spike-haired, tattooed, scantily and seductively dressed young potential monsters walking our streets today. We wonder why they speak in fractured English, while indulging themselves in foul, obscene gutter language most of the time, when they should be practicing the use of the English language. But the media teaches them otherwise, without the church raising any objection. Some of the foulest language I hear comes from our self-righteous church-goers, who fill those dead pews.
The irony of the situation is that we question why we are left with the results of our actions, which we, as parents, government leaders, judges and church have committed. We are the ones who have removed the light from our children and then ask why they stumble around self-destructing in the darkness.
We spend millions, even billions, on our mistakes dealing with the resulting crime and health-care costs associated with drugs and alcoholism among the teen-age population. We have a new wave of young parents, who were a generation of victims raised in darkness and are now raising the next generation in the same way, never knowing anything but darkness.
Single-parent homes have now become the norm, and more babies are either aborted or are being born out of wedlock than are born within the institution of marriage. Wedlock means you lock or cement yourself into a family relationship, which gives security to every member of the family. Home should be a safe haven of light, not a battle-zone in darkness.
The answer to the solution is simple and requires absolutely no cost. It is so obvious, yet our blindness in deception keeps us from seeing it. If you want to change this picture of darkness, you simply introduce the Light back into the children’s young lives and the darkness will disappear. This has been the pattern of history from the moment man was created in the presence of only light, where there was no darkness.
God always speaks light into existence, with sin taking us into darkness when we rebel against the Light of life to choose darkness with its culture of death. God divided the people into nations at Babel and then introduced light to a nation He called Israel, but the nation chose to reject the light for the darkness.
Again, the Light entered the world as the Word made flesh, and His name was called Jesus, but the world rejected the Light and chose the darkness. The Light was then embraced again by a nation called America, but it, like its older sister nation, became a harlot to her Lord as well and rejected the Light for darkness.
In all of these situations the peace of people, living in the light, was bestowed upon them by God. He did so for the single purpose of giving a message to the world about liberty and freedom being a result of living under His Law. The nation, in turn becomes God’s reflected light of the world, just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, with the earth coming in between the two. Peace ceases the moment the light is given up for darkness, and it is then that the wars of religion ensue.
America is in the process of giving up her peaceful, bountiful lifestyle in the light to embrace that wicked mother of harlots, Babylon the Great, along with the darkness and destruction that come with her. Are we a wise or a completely foolish, stupid, blind people?
If we had kept the number one history book, the Bible, before our children’s eyes, they might have been able to learn from history how to embrace the light by embracing the truth instead of the secular religions of men with their doctrines and philosophies. We might possibly have been able to break the pattern of history with its wars and violence if we had ever understood that this is the only possible way to do so, when we embrace the light as a nation.
There is no vision for a nation in darkness, and there is no future for a people who choose to live in it.
The very thought of death and being covered over entirely by earth can make us feel claustrophobic. We do not like the sensation of choking or even to contemplate the process of losing the breath of life to death and eternal darkness. Yet, how is it we cannot understand that the Light is the antidote to such darkness, being the source whence the breath of life was given to man? Every day we deprive our children of the Light of truth, we are placing them under the condemnation of death, and are literally choking the breath of life from their young lungs. The sadness is that we know not what we do.
In spiritual language, what we are speaking about here is the embrace of Christ and truth versus the embrace of the lies of religion and the Antichrist. Now is the time we are going to have to choose between the mark of the beast, 666, and the seal of the Most High God upon our lives.
There is a battle going on out there this very minute as I write, which is raging over the souls of our children. The answer for their salvation from death is simple and sure. They simply need to be reintroduced to the Light, the Light of the world, Whom we have taken away from them.
They are in dire need of the Word of life, so let us return the Bible to them in the classrooms, so that they might have the opportunity for life. Let us command them to live as they struggle in their own blood and the uncut navel cord of their nativity, unwashed and unclean. It is time to clean them up and wrap them in the mantle of light, a cloak of many colors and a mantle of heavenly inheritance.
