Voice of the Kingfisher speaks out …from a different perspective

If there were a knock on your door and you were to open it to find Joseph there with his pregnant wife, Mary, about to give birth to Jesus, would you have helped them in their desperation and welcomed them into your home? Or, on the other hand, would you have first hesitated, and then offered the couple a slate of alternatives?
You might have found them a slight bit too dirty from travel to enter your clean house. They could continue to the hospital, only a few miles down the road, where they might receive professional help. Or you could have left them at the door while you called the police, in order to get them out of your hair.
Perhaps, there was just too much we needed to consider before opening our doors to these strangers. Would the family not be gathered together at this special time of the year, with our concern being for them rather than for the intruders? The needs of a pregnant woman would hardly be a welcomed event; it would be something, which would be better left to the authorities. Then there is always our image to worry about. What would friends and neighbors think if we allowed strays like this into the neighborhood, especially at this time of year?
How many of us treat the Savior of the world like this, when He wants to enter into our personal lives? Have we come through Christmas, over-stuffed, over-spent, over-indulged and over-exhausted by the social whirl, which surrounds the season? Were we too busy to take the time to actually remember Jesus, who is the reason for the season? Did we leave Him outside when He knocked in an attempt to enter into the celebration that was supposed to be for Him?
Have we watched Christmas, television special after special expressing the meaning of Christmas as being that which is dependent upon Santa Claus being saved from some unforeseen danger so that the children can continue to receive the booty stashed away in his big bag of tricks? The stories along this line go on ad nauseam. But rarely are there Christmas specials, which point us to the baby Jesus who was born to give us the incredible gift of salvation from death with the offer of eternal life.
Is it not tragic to watch America self-destruct in her race to remove Jesus from the homes, from every school room, from every retailer’s premises, from every government office and from all the courtrooms of the nation? We, of America, have embraced Political Correctness to the extent that we suffer from that form of tolerance, which exists for all things except for Him.
It is what is commonly known as the antichrist spirit, which America is embracing whole-heartedly, both within the institutional Christian church as well as outside her walls. So, who is left to challenge such intolerance? It can only be the true church, which must make her exodus from Christianity, before God flattens the two-faced, religious institutions on their proverbial butts.
God is not a tolerant God. He has sent His Son, at great sacrifice, to save the likes of you and me. He is totally intolerant of anyone who rejects this unfathomable gift, for which His Son has suffered so that we would not have to suffer ourselves. We will face the judgment we deserve, which He took for us, when we refuse the gift, only to embrace the spirit of the antichrist in our lives.
You, the fool, have listened to Satan’s deceptive argument of tolerance for an enemy, which will destroy you, along with intolerance for Jesus who can save you. Stupid men of little understanding have always chosen the broad road to death, rather than embrace the way to salvation. There is no other word but stupidity to describe it; for Satan disguises salvation with the deceptive robes of liberalism, which are worn by academia and apostate religious priests.
Wake up, America, for you are standing between the gate of salvation and the gate of judgment. The choice is yours as to which direction you will choose to go. Will you keep Christ in the nation, or will you leave Him outside this Christmas, as He knocks, trying to come in and share in some part of our celebration? Is there really any more room for Him in the inns of America than there was in the inn of the little town of Bethlehem, all those centuries ago? Has anything really changed?
All of the Christmas lights of the world cannot equal the light surrounding the Babe who was laid to rest in a manger over 2000 years ago. Which light was it that lit up your home this Christmas; was it the light of Jesus or were they the commercial lights from the retailers?
Was there any room this year in your home for the Child whom the rest of the world does not want to receive? Has the nation chosen the Christ of Christmas, or was she guilty of having opened her doors to the antichrist spirit, the same spirit, which Herod, Pontius Pilate and the Scribes and Pharisees embraced at His first coming?
It is entirely up to you, the American people, whether or not you will allow this nation under God to self-destruct in its growing rejection of Jesus.
